Nice rig!... is the couch/kitchen space useable without the slide out extended? Just curious.

Kitchen is very easy with slide in, couch is not at it's best but can be used. The rear ramp make patio with a awning and full screen door comes down. Sleeps 4 in the back with electric elevator bed and folding bench.

Great thread, I have a pretty cool one in my personal race photo collection I will have to add. I will have to take it out of it's frame and scan it.
I love the photos of the pits, behind the scenes in the garages, transporters etc.

Thanks for all the great shots. I wish I was alive when this was a thing. Now it's all the same trucks/trailers with different vinyls. Some of these carriers were stunning.

Hands down the most astonishing collection of race car transporters I've ever had the pleasure of viewing. I covet these things as much as I do the cars.
    Thanks, great thread.

From my small collection of vintage race car photos, I had to take them out of the frames to scan them-LOL.
Roger Penske, towing the "Pooper" on top of the trailer, with moose head, "borrowed" from the Moose Lodge in Monterey the night before. Laguna Seca, 1962. Rear engined cars are everywhere!
Lotus 25B with transporter in background, I love the wrench on the tire.

Fascinating thread, awesome pictures - many thanks for showing!
Attached an image of the transporter, Florian couldnt find -taken at Jim Clark Revival at the Hockenheim Ring in 2012.
And another 3 pics of a restored Fiat 642 RN2 1967, wich I took at the Nuerburgring in 2001.
