I like orange. It is the only real color for a McLaren. I'm sure Bruce would say that.
Original McLaren orange was closer to the yellow paint on School busses than to the orange on the F1LM released in the 90's, which they called Papaya. It's a difficult hue to get right.
I don't remember the F1LM shade. I'm thinking of the CanAm and F1 cars during the Bruce and Denny years.
And they'll blend in at the nearest Hare Krishna centre, where they'll end up at this rate of success. Win/win! I didn't mean win, did I?
Yep, those cars were a yellower shade of orange. There was a big thread in the Autosport forums (i think) from a while ago where people discussed the paint code. Some think McLaren orange was an actual shade of the fibreglass used on the can-am and F1 cars, and so is very difficult to replicate in paint, since there was no real paint code.
