It was a very interesting color; the car has since been sold. He originally owned a chestnut brown Flying Spur, another pretty unique color.
Wow, all very good spots. Has anyone seen the Spyker C8 in Council Bluffs? I know several photos of it have been posted in some Omaha car forums. That's a very, very cool car for this area.
I knew the family that had it when I lived back there. Sat in it and revved it. Awesome grumble. But their red Lamborghini LM002 is the real beast.
Bentley GTC (Dark gray / Light brown) spotted today over by Mercy West Clinic in Clive / WDM... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Saw that same Bentley GT turning onto Westown Pkwy from 60th last week. First time I had seen the V8 Continental. Also this week I have seen a new Corvette on I-35N and a black Aston Martin Vantage S downtown.
Went to Ames to look for an apartment Friday & Saturday. I saw a blue Tesla Model S, a white Nissan GTR at one of the apartments I looked at, & a maroon Maserati Gran Turismo convertible I believe driving around and also saw it at one of the dealerships/shops. Anyone know if there are any other exotics in the Ames area?
This one is so new it only had it's paper tag in the window. Also, I am selling my 2001 Ferrari 360 and I got a different car on the way. Will post pics when it gets here. Hope the snow holds off a couple of weeks. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's a few pics of some cars I have spotted on campus in Iowa City. The Granturismo and the GTR belong to international students that attend the university... must me nice! Throwing in my spots. I recently moved back to Iowa after graduating from UTI and took a job at a independent European shop in Cedar Rapids. I can confirm that the gentleman with Saleen S7's is an Iowa collector. He comes to our shop occasionally to chat. He also has a brand new 2014 F10 M5, an orange Aventador, and a twin turbo Ford GT according to a co-worker. In our shop currently is a black Ferrari 308 GTB (not sure what year exactly) Linn County Iowa registered. I have seen 2 Bentley Continental GTCs in the Cedar Rapids area. One is a metallic baby blue newer body style, the other is a silver 2007-2010 body style. I also saw a dark blue Aston Martin Rapide outside Iowa City a couple weeks back but couldn't see if it was an Iowa car.
Bye bye 360, you were my first and you will be missed. Welcome home Gorgeous. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
New to forum. I have seen: Murcielago and SLR in Clinton, but not recently (A friend told me a dentist there owns 10-12 exotics) Saleen S7 in the Quad Cities Red Ferrari California in Grimes Red Aston convertible resides on Ontario Street in Ames, by my previous house
A couple years back the purple Diablo was running around at the Salisbury Concourse. Sounded nice. Sent from my XT1055 using Tapatalk
It's been a long time since I have logged in here but am happy to see that there are quite a few exotics in Iowa. The problem is, nobody ever drives them. The weather has been harsh over the last few months so it's understandable. My car (that most of you would hate) has been tucked away in the garage awaiting more favorable weather. If there is ever a meet where I might have the opportunity to view some of your cars please send me a pm. I'd love to have a look and meet you all in person.
Hey you guys, I will be moving to Ames in August and am hoping to get to see some nice cars around at least every so often! I have read what everyone has posted and it seems promising. Just had a question: I was doing some research online & came across a photo of a purple Mosler MT900s & the caption said it was in Ames, IA! That blew my mind; does anyone know anything about it? Thanks! Bobby
The 360 spider is a nice car, but the scud is absolutely amazing! A friend of mine has a black one with silver stripes, what a great car! Love the red! Congrats and I hope to see it around sometime!
There is a purple/dark blue Mosler in Iowa, but it is actually located in Des Moines --- not Ames. Same guy has a light purple (lavender) Diablo as well.
I was hoping it was in Ames, but good to know there is one close! I hope I get to see all of these cars soon and up close!
