The kids are in the classroom waiting for their teacher to appear. And while waiting they are fighting each against others Maybe the teacher should appear soon. Markus
How the hell would a metallurgist not be able to spell metallurgy? Unless he's not a metallurgist. Yep. Matt
My experience is that scientists are notriously bad spellers. It's not that important to them. Also, even if they can spell properly, they tend to be thinking of other things - like their topics, on which they are hyperfocused - so the spelling gets less of their brain power. However, until I see more postings by the OP,the jury is out on the cred of this thread. Ouch on FBB about posting negative comments on 355. Hey wait, ouch on me too! Of course, you could blame this on sibbling rivalry...
Before I retired my profession was a research scientist. I can assure you spelling counts. The product of our efforts is publications and technical reports. How you present yourself in person and in print is of the utmost importance.
Perhaps you guys could start your own hate thread and let those of us interested in hearing what the op has to say focus on that.
That's what some 355 owners are saying. I have only posted fact. Einstein did not wear socks ever. That maybe weird and not present well but I give him a pass when he talks about the theory of relatively. If T. Monma write this up for scientific publication he can worry about his spelling later.
I'm subscribed as in I would like to hear more from the OP. It might be fact it might be fiction I still would like to hear more and decided for myself.
Yea, and back in the '70s I gave presentations at technical conferences wearing sneakers with my suit and had hair down to my shoulders, but I did not misspell words on my slides. Let's see what transpires.
I don't know, maybe I have just spent too many years around car salesmen but this sure sounds to me like a statement meant to make you think he went to MIT. It says nowhere that he did.
I second that. I browsed the 308 thread and it just seems to be owners helping others with tech info. the 355 thread seems to have a lot of , feminine hygiene disposal bag types. ( have to put it that since fchat wil just ****** the word i'd like to say) the 348 guys seem to be pretty down to earth , but for some reason the 355 attracts the dbags. not all owners by any means , but i have noticed more than a few
+1 After lurking for a while and just joining here it seems obvious that the "batches" prevail. The interesting and useful among the forum seem to eventually go quiet and the rest are trying to sell something, are totally uninteresting people, or/and want to jack off about how they and their car is the best of the best like a bunch of grade 5s. Apparently providing actual content, seems less important than grammar. So far, I'm buying what the OP is saying. Why don't those who can't contribute go and start another " 355 market thread " so that they can tell each other how much they turned down for their car and negotiate with themselves endlessly while we can analyze this thread properly. We lose two or three other quality posters in this section and it will get awfully awful in the 348/355 world of F-chat
LOL US 355 guys love to publicly masturbate our minds as exhibitionists. Soon as I find my mind I will give it a go but I will have bail ready first. Oh yes I just wanted to post so I can subscribe here
OK all fun aside so far this thread is sounding more like Sheldon out of the 'Big Bang Theory'.... I'd like to see the science now please..!?!?
I'm embarrassed at the combative nature of some prominent posters of the 348/355 section recently. It has steered me away from posting and viewing as much as I used to. I really want to hear what the OP has to say but I fear that he will be scared off by the grammar police and keyboard jockeys. Normally I just keep my mouth shut and ignore what they are saying but it has gotten to the point where it reduces the usefulness of fchat and my enjoyment of it by chasing away valuable contributors. It's pissing me off at this point. Point is I am very interested in what the OP has to contribute and hope he feels comfortable doing so at this point.
How about we let the OP post his information, lets all read it. Stop with the judgments PLEASE!! We already have a thread about the 355 that went way off kilter. I may have been apart of that, but it was definatly not meant that way. I even posted questions requesting info. I would hope that with his upcoming posts (if he even does so now) that maybe we all can take something away from it. regardless if we will ever apply that knowledge to anything in our daily lives. Its fun to learn new things.
