It's all subjective but I guess I often don't understand why people feel the need to modify a beautiful design. I much prefer the stock "tucked in" wheels. But as I said, it's your car and if you're happy that's all that matters. At least it's black Image Unavailable, Please Login
And id prob say you are in the minority in liking inset wheels , it makes the car look like a kit car, my Lambo comes with good offsets out the factory and it looks just rite. in my opinion ferrari makes ride height to high and wheel are way inset under fenders , it gives the cars a very wimpy look ,
I had that same lift, absolutely the best alignment lift I ever had. Should have brought it with me to the west coast
The Murch and the 355. Nice work there. Which do you prefer? Nice lowering job too. Our cars are going to look Identical except I'm powder coating Challenge rims black and of course the BB kit.
I tend to agree that the stock wheels look best. None of the others look quite "right" to me. But I do think the car would look better a little lower at the front (I don't like very "squat" rear ends). I have looked at the H & R springs, but some have said you can lower the car a bit on the standard suspension. Could you just wind it down, say, 15mm or so? I have spacers at the front and back in order to bring the wheels into alignment with the rest of the body. Rear spacers are wider than front spacers. Also, it was lowered by a former Challenge mechanic by winding down the standard suspension. It was important to me that the distance between the tires and the wheel arches be symmetrical. Naturally, it is not symmetrical in stock version nor is it if it is lowered too much. But that's just my subjective aesthetic definition of it. I hope the picture below will demonstrate what I mean. Thanks. That is helpful. I think that is the perfect amount of lowering, and if that was achieved on stock suspension, all the better. I personally am not a fan of the rear wheel spacing, but that is purely my opinion. You have a gorgeous car!
Thanks for the compliment on my car. Someone told me that the stock setting on any car is the best for allround purpose. But the decent lowering of my car had no negative effect on driving comfort which was not the case for example with my 997 4S where H&R springs were installed. It looked better alright but the daily driving really suffered, making the Porsche jump around like a squirrel on the slightest bumps. Here is one more photo. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Excellent. That is exactly the kind of stance I'd like my car to have. Symmetrical, and nicely balanced with the front a little lower than the rear. Do you happen to know how much they lowered it to achieve that?
Im not sure why modifying these cars is still a new thing. I have some very minor things in store for my car that will seem major for people on this forum.

Ive had the lambo for a wile now , I love it , but honestly there is just something about the ferrari feel that is different, specially with the 355 it has a raw go cart feel , and the sound......were the lambo feels big and heavy, but don't get me wrong , its fast! But ultimately its Ferrari blood that runs trough my veins
You are absolutely right about doing something about it. I mean even though our cars are not race cars, they are still sports cars and they should also look the part. Most of us prefer the Porsche GT3 stance to the stock verdion too and Porsche makes good money offering the sport suspension option as an expensive extra. Unfortunately, my invoices do not explicitly specify the amount lowered nor the exact spacer width. From the pictures I see from you beautiful black car, I would probably bring it back up a tiny bit just to get the symmetry I've mentioned. For a race or challenge car it would be fine I guess. So either way your car looks much better now than before.
Thank you , I mite just take you up on that and raise the back up a tad , I too would like the car to look even,i took some advice from this forum about how to lower and how many turns to drop coilsprings 12 front 14.5 rear , so that's what I did, I may just raise rear by 2 turns and see then, before I go get it aligned!
Looks good, I want to lower mine as well. Just a little though, the 360 wheels added about a half an inch. I want to take that back out and maybe a little more in the front. The nose down should help with down force on the car as well.
To tell you the truth...the front looks like it sits higher than the bottom. I think it would look better if the front would sit lower than the bottom.
Found this picture at an early attempt to get my spider to handle, this was the balance fr -rr, I dont have the weights handy but you can see tire gap. I am slightly lower now all around and have found the "sweet spot" for my style driving, (until march when I change all components again). Yes I scrape everything and need a ramp to get in my driveway LOL. Thats why I keep a second bumper ready to go Image Unavailable, Please Login
It will be interesting to see the before and after photos ... I did it the easy way and just payed someone to do it but I wish I could do it myself. Just removing the battery of my VW and recharging it felt like implanting a total hip replacement to me. Much more rewarding than having it done by someone else. So let's see the results soon.
