Mclaren will probably be using the rearmost upper A-arm suspension member as a beam wing type device. It's my understanding they can only be 5 degrees asymmetrical though?

It appears those mounting points for the rear wing pylons are directly to the rear suspension upper a-arms

Can anyone point out why the cars have to be 10 kg heavier for next year? What effect will 10kg have on lap times?

Personally, save the "anteater nose" I don't think the cars are that hideous. As I understand it, the noses are the result of safety measures, so there's supposedly some method to the madness.

I'm much more interested to see them in action on the circuit. Can't wait for the first testing session! (also, is this the year where in-season testing becomes legal again?)

Agreed, but the nose is a MAJOR part of the car. It looks stupid and makes the 2012 turds look like beauty queens in comparison.

That's not nearly as bad, IMO.

    2004 Williams Walrus style!

I'm very interested in the Scuderia's approach to the nasal problem...

With the new low noses, cars being rear ended by another may get lifted up and flipped over.

The render appears to be so low rent I actually believe it's the E21 with the E22 nose on it.

    19%

    18%

    17%

    ...and counting.

Perhaps the USGP/NY should be held at the Islip Long Island figure 8 track?

    For those with long memories.

This area which is normally just an exhaust vent appears interesting as it appears they may be trying to evolve it into a wing of sorts.....

Scarbs explains the asymmetrical nose well. I think he tweeted something on it

Maybe the Williams nose will fit inside.......

I'm thinking Ferrari may do something like the 312T series of noses.

At least there has been diversity thus far, but it is only in varying stages of ugly.

I don't think the Mclaren looks all that bad considering what they have to work with from a reg standpoint.
