I think it looks rather cool! I'm just glad that it does not have some mutilated looking freak show genitals stuck to the front like the McLaren or Lotus.

Hope this was the right decision, F1 consultant engineer Enrique Scalabroni seems to think that push rod is the only way to go with the 2014 regs.

I totally dig the view from behind. More like a rocket. Cool.

Maybe the Hoover nose gets replaced by the time the races start.

I skimmed thru the thread and didn't see this (or similar) posted; my apologies if repost...

Interesting though I'm not sure I still completely understand what it means. Other than a creative albeit ugly interpretation of the rules. :D

Ferrari's nose certainly doesn't let as much air underneath the car as others

Will they alternate the longer end for tracks going counter clockwise?

Have a hunch all of the cars will look different at the first race

    +1

Some noses will be cleaned by then. And some will have gotten a nose job.

So we have the Ferrari ducknose, the Lotus manta ray and the Williams and Mclaren penis nose.

    Fun season already!

My thoughts also. Honestly, it would be great if not for the bulbous hump leading to the downward slope, but I'm positive they are simply working within the regs.

Not a 'beautiful work of art', but I'll get used to it as long as it's a winner.

Definitely not the ugliest Ferrari f1 car to me. That title goes to the 126 c4

Couldn't disagree more: I LOVED the turbo rocket pencils with their monstrous wings.

    Different strokes for different blokes.

IMHO the ugliest Ferrari F1 was the B3

I think it's great to have a bit of variety in the way the cars look for the first time in years.

I am concerned with the placement of the radiator exits, it is a traditional design with Ferrari opting for outside airflow to still be directed in the area of just under the beam wing which of course no longer exists. We've seen Mclaren and Lotus move the hot air vents just adjacent to the exhaust pipe freeing up airflow closer to the floor which obviously leads to the new 'mini beam' wing we've seen near the floor, this also creates a type of thermal beam wing which Ferrari do not at all seem to be doing. They've also retained pull rod on the front end whilst Mclaren dumped theirs. Mclaren's arrangement specifically at the rear end really takes advantage of the thermal energy and their rear suspension is specifically designed to take advantage of this well placed energy whilst Ferrari have done nothing to move in this direction.

Lastly, I have no idea how laminar flow around the rear area of the sidepods at this Ferrari floor is going to remain attached, that whole area is just a mess. I'm not confident for Ferrari's contender this season. Not a lot of thought went into that rear area
