Speaking as one whose 308 was stolen within two weeks after purchase - and recovered - it seems that I really ought to be as paranoid as you are. However, I really don't think that saying, "My 308 is located in Denver, Colorado" is going to tip off anyone who really wants to steal it. There are a number of newer, more expensive, and more desirable-to-a-thief vehicles in Denver Colorado. And I think that potential thieves already know that. I mean, sheesh. .. I didn't list my precise address and the hours I'm not home.
If you don't want your exact location listed just put in only your zip code (no city or state) and the marker will show up with no info displayed other than the name you used.
First in Japan! I knew this board was mainly a North American one, but didn't think it would be so true. Man, do I feel alone! ;-)
Now we are up to 182 members on the Ferrari map- a good turnout I'd say. Are there any 3X8s in Italy? I'd never thought of that until seeing the map, but I don't know of any members we have on the list with cars there. Thanks, Jeff
Would a vette owner in Florida join an Italian language vette board? There are usually 20-30 3x8s on sale at any one time within Italy. Being the home market, I don't think there's much need for Italians owning 308s to come on here to get advice & engage in chat.
Now that would be something to see, an Italian Corvette forum. "Ciao. Amo la mia macchina in vetroresina da Detroit"
I've noticed a number of entries don't include a description of the car. Isn't that what this project is about?
I think it's more to see where 3X8s live...since we all have a pretty good idea what they look like already
OK, so who wants to organize our first national gathering? Looks like somewhere in Kansas is the most centrally located, but no one has popped up there yet. Other thoughts are CO (Denver), looks like a quite a few guys there, or how about Austin, TX for he Formula 1 Gran Prix? I think it'd be cool to caravan with a bunch of 308's.
