Looking for options to mount a cell phone (Nexus 4) in a 360. Prefer mounting somewhere in dash area (easy reach) than on the windscreen.

    Model recommendations/pictures would assist.

Click not the link and go to the floor options tab. Just put a floor mount like this one in my 360 (mounts to the left seat bolt of the right seat. Works great! Holds my phone, iPod, or Garmin. It folds out of the way or removes easily for shows. Customer service and pricing is great!

    Not to sound smug....
Why not shut it off, or leave it at home and ENJOY the drive in your 360. My cell phone gets shut off when the 360 starts up :)

    Just saying....

Holy smokes. That floor mount looks pretty good. But... You guys with 360's can actually carry on a conversation via phone when the car is running?

In my Stradale that's a no go. I have to use a headset/ear-buds or nothing.

Man you guys must have luxury cars.

Surprisingly yes. My 360 Spider w/ Tubi (top up) is much quieter then my 348ts w/ Nouvalari was. I'm impressed how well the 360 is sound insulated.

I've been looking for a solution for this as well, normally use dashmount or brodit but surprisingly neither have an option for the 360...

Exactly the kind of creative idea I was looking for.

Looking to also attached this on inside of passenger seat (right hand drive car) however looking at seat rails/bolts (with passenger seat push all the way back) not immediately clear where these mount? No front seat bolt is surfaced unless plastic covers are removed?

I'll vote for this also. By far and away the most flexible yet sturdy mounting system I've found. I've had one for a year and have never had to re-secure the suction cup. It just sticks and stays stuck. It's stable enough for good quality video shooting with Harry's Laptimer also and has a long enough arm to secure to the w'screen and still place the phone where you want it.

The only down side is that it's a two-handed job to put the phone in place and remove it.

Here are some pictures of my mount. My car is a left hand drive 360. There is a plastic cover that just slides off the seat rail. Then remove the seat nut with the special kind of screw driver (hex, I think). Then insert the post below the seat rail, hold it in place, and retighten. Install, position, and removal completely is under 5 minutes. You can also just fold it out of the way, which is what I did at my last car show, because I forgot my handy tool to remove the bolt.

The holder I have is a generic holder and it will hold everything from my full size Garmin to my iPhone or iPod. They do have tablet mounts, too.

Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions.

Does that not rattle around like a mad thing when you're on the move but?

Not really. The post is very sturdy. It takes a little effort to put it down to the floor in the one picture. Very steady even when I have the navigation system in it. Very usable.

Fantastic instructions Deiger. Only apprehension upon investigation is given I have manual seats don't believe fixing bracket is going to fit given seat handle is in same location. May have to stick to an air vent option.

PS - The plastic cover slides off easily once I figure out the tab needs to be slightly lifted with a flathead screw driver.

Nearly a year after I started looking for solutions to this problem, i think I've finally got it licked.

Possibly looks slightly off kilter in the pics but from being sat in the drivers seat the mounting is straight and the screen is easily readable so I'm pretty happy!

Please post pics of your cell phone cradle setup in the 430 ... I am not impressed with the current sound system at all .. What's the best way to play music off your iphone? A bluetooth recv. that can be installed? Thanks.

So I took a gamble and ordered this:

    701188 - DashMount

It's technically designed for an F430 but I figured that the dash design was so close that it would either work straight out of the box or only require a small modification.

I removed the 2 screws holding the main climate control panel in and that gave me access to remove one of the mounting screws behind the climate panel, the holder then fits in such a way that it is held in place by re-tightening that mounting screw.
The climate panel then resecures as normal.

The best thing about this is that there is no modification required to the car and it fits / removes in moments.

Power wise, a while back I had an accessory socket installed under the dash in the passenger footwell so the cellphone kit plugs in there.

The only thing to note is that you'll need a tilt/swivel phone holder, because the front plate of the 430 bracket faces slightly downwards in a 360 in order for the phone to not point downwards as well you must have a holder that can be adjusted for viewing angle.

Mine is this one from a company called Brodit who make kits for almost every phone on the market.

Almost invisible when not in use. No cradle or bracket. Soft rubber clip that won't damage anything.

They're great, apart from if you live in a country where the A/C has to blast continually, phones don't like being inches away from frozen air and I don't like my airstream blocked.

You're also limited as to the angle you can aim the phone at and the strength to hold the phone in a particular position depends on the strength of the plastic vanes of the air vent....

Nice idea but not for me I'm afraid.
