Same here, although today is the first day in MONTHS that it has dropped below 35c...it's been around 42-46c in the last 2 weeks every day.

Had a bit of rain too...which is good since the main dam only had 7% water left (about 2 months)!!

Kimi has just completed a full lap! No timed laps for the Ferrari yet.

And some folk were wondering if this BS would be on the tv!....

Seems the Merc can't get out of the garage without breaking down.... Fpiloto is gonna be apoplectic! ;)

I thought most of them would manage an installation lap or two!

Those screens etc are crazy IMO. They'll all be caught by Sutton etc within a few hours no matter what.....

As I said, boring! I'll get an update in the am.

    Night all
    Ian

This first test will be irrelevant in terms of times. It's all about putting on drivetrain mileage for now.

completely agree. Every lap you have over the rest is an advantage.

Good bit of damage too apparently. Technical failure are earliest reports.

Wow - these cars look so weird! The F14T, in particular, looks dreadful with it's Shinkansen nose. I'm ignoring all times today - irrelevant.

Interesting to see Lotus already having to go on the defensive about the legality of it's female nose. I guess this is a boys only grid...

Red Bull is in the garage a due to incorrect suspension mounting.

Mclaren are unable to figure out the engine.

MB hit a due to a wing failure, new wing will be flown in by early morning. Thankfully the engine at least works lol.

Ferrari are having issues of their own.

Is any of this unexpected? I don't think so, no.

Haha. that's the same wall he hit last year. Front wing snapped right off. New one is coming, reinforced mounting solution too.

I've greatly underestimated it for myself in the other thread.

Although I don't know what happened in testing in 2006 admittedly. But surely not as bad as this?
