Not working on my car ;-(

I'm envious of you guys in the south or more so, California.

The before pic was taken after sucking up a bunch of mud (sand that they put on the roads for traction). I'll need to do this again in a couple of weeks. At least the racedeck cleans up well.

Let us know if you have any plans to be in Southern California. We can hook you up with a "winter" drive.

Nice floor Dave; yup, here in CA I have a low weave carpet in the garage that is routinely taken care of by an irobot for dog fur!

I had wondered how nice floors held up in colder climates where we have to deal with salt/sand.

The sand is a huge problem. Last night I pulled my car in for the night. This morning I came out and had 6" triangular chunks under 3 wheels which would have become smashed when backing out. So, I picked them up and tossed them in the garbage. Total BS.

The only issue with the salt is that it melts in the water and then I'm left with white residue between the crack on the RaceDeck tiles.

Does the sand and salt get stuck between the race deck (tiles)? I always wanted a nice epoxy floor, but I think it's impossible with our weather.

Yes. But, in my 3.5 car garage, I only use one bay for my DD so the other area stays clean. But water (with salt) runs under the tiles so the salt issue shows up anywhere water travels.

In spring, I'll pull out a large section where I park the DD, clean the floor underneath and then hose off the underside of the tiles.

Perfect? No Way. But, IMO, the best solution for the crap we have in NY.

Had to deal with the exact same thing. My wife parked her MB in the garage for the night and I spent the AM sweeping out the sand and rinsing the salt off the floor.

I put a lift/coilover kit on a buddy's FJ cruiser. There was enough mud under the underbody trays to backfill a moat. And it was that red clay. I had to shovel, then sweep, then hose, then mop. Took almost as long as the install.

    Sweet garage there Dave!!!
