Thanks, Dave, but looking for Kluber DEgreaser.
Something that will emulsify (?) the grease. To remove it.

We came up with a list of what doesn't work, but Bruce wanted to see if anyone had experience with this. So far the only answer is a lot of paper towels.

Goof Off Heavy Duty Remover and a lot of paper towels. Don't soak the plastic & rubber bits, soak the paper towels and wipe them off. The rest of the flywheel is fine to soak in it. If you dissolve a plastic bit, open FBB's Jack Daniels and use appropriately.

Have you tried Brakleen spray? It's a pretty powerful degreaser, just be sure to use in a "well ventilated area".

Could be a stupid question but could you use a heat gun and get it hot enough so most would run out?

One of its qualities is to withstand the extreme heat from the clutch, with an exhaust at its rear. Unless its lost that and gone semi liquid I doubt it.
I know comment has been all anyone says is paper towels, but unless you have an industrial degreaser paper towel is the easiest to get majority off. its not that big a deal. Once thats done a quick wipe over with any ordinary degreaser will bring it up sparkling clean.
