This is question I can't resolve yet. Never driven a 430 yet but I freaky love so many things about my Rooso F355. I've got it listed at 53k with 39k and just can't seem to let her go. Love the size, involvement of gated shifter, smell of the leather after 18 years. Sound is intoxicating. Anyone out there go to 430 and happy they made the jump? Perhaps I should be posting in 430 area? 360 just doesn't do enough for me. Driven a few of them.

The F430 is 2.5-3 times the price and 10+ years newer and will most likely be a better car...keep in mind you most likely will get an F1 so the manual gated thing will be gone...

95' rosso corsa and tan. 39k. Drive it 500 or so a month. Slc, ut. I really like the back end of 430 and interior is sharp. But maybe a spider in red, giallo, thinking may have more curb appeal and great sound

It's a 95 Berlinetta. It was my first one and if you have not had one I highly recommend getting one. Short of my wife, as I have no natural childeren there is nothing in my life that gives me more joy. That may be shallow but I would tell anyone I've been passionate about Ferrari since I was a young boy. There is a magical feeling the F355 gives you as your driving it. All of your senses being electrified at once. The scream of the exhaust note at 8500 rpm, the smell of the corinthian leather after 18 years. The pure awe of one othe most gorgous designs ever to leave Maranello. The feel of the gated shifter as you throw it into your favorite gear and the immediate response the car gives you. The feeling of "all eyes on you" as a classic Ferrari is always noticed with smiles. Dam i love this car. If you 10k in reserve then find the right one and jump in. I have found it much harder not driving my car this Winter with bad roads than living the rest of my life not having one to drive at all. They are intoxicating. Get the right one for you and you will begin a journey that will touch you for the rest of your life. Not many other things I have done I can say the same about. A few but not many. Thanks Enzo

I went from a 355 to a 430 and the 430 styling IS very nice. Yes the 355 has traditional lines and still looks amazing for its age.

BUT the 430 is simply unbelieavable and whilst I miss the 355 the jump to the 430 was a good choice.

You will not regret experiencing a newer Ferrari and they are more reliable.

    I'm certainly happy!!

Slight drop on 430 with Novitec wheels would be a Show Stopper! Either need to spend less or make more. Guess its going to be make more. Anyone in the market for a new VW? lol

How is the ride height on the 430? Do you scrape as much as with 355?

I agree. There's a nice looking gated B for sale on eBay. Ex Nick Cage.

It's not to bad. Mine was lowered when I bought it and I would scrape literally everywhere which was not good so I raised it back to almost stock and it has been very good since.

Overall, not to much different to the 355. I have also put skid plates on.

    Hope this helps.

Think which car you would rather have 5 to 7 years from now and I bet you will be keeping the 355. I would also go with new OEM headers or Tubi's versus your suggested ones. Good luck with your decision.

Hey, Ricardo Montablan, it's no Chrysler and there is no "corinthian leather" in the F355. Connolly leather, sure. :)

The above quoted passage tells me everything. Do NOT sell the F355. You are in that car for all the right reasons.

Of course, the F430 is a "better car" in many respects and measures. What you can't measure is what you captured in your telling of the pros in favor of the F355. The F430 has none of that, I'm afraid. And look, there will always be something faster/quicker/louder than a F430...so that sugar high you get from swapping out of the F355 for the F430 will soon be replaced by the inevitable crash of "shoot, wish I still had the F355" for all her charms.

You have to get what you want or you will always wonder! I have a 348 and love my car, but if I could afford it, yes, I would upgrade to a 430. You can always go back, but you need to at least experience it. It is still just a car in the end..

    I wouldn't sell the 355.

Yes, the 430 is MUCH faster, and, well, how do I say this on here... is screwed together a little better. :) It feels so much more like a modern supercar, and the performance will blow you away compared to the 355.

However, I actually prefer the 355. The gated shifter, the sound of the engine (430 is too "guttural"), the overall appearance (especially the exterior)... it's just a design that speaks to me, and to a lot of others as well. I just have more fun driving the 355.

I went from a 355 Spider stick to a 430 Spider stick. The 355 has a unique beautiful exhaust sound that you won't get from a 430. That said, the 430 has a more powerful note that is special in it's own way. I loved my 355 and it's the only car that I felt a little sad letting go. I don't know if it's because it was my first Ferrari, or if it was because I just wanted to keep it. The 355 is a special car, but then again, the 430 is just so solid.

Do I miss my 355? Maybe I do, because I still check back into the 355 forum to see what's going on. Am I glad I got my 430? Absolutely.

    Good luck in your decision!
