I'm not aware of a national gathering. I tried to start something a few years ago, but couldn't get it worked out. I'm thinking a central location would be best because I don't know what kind of response we would get if people had to drive cross country. I think someone local to where it will be held would have to get involved. Anyone want to volunteer? I think it would be cool to check out others 3x8 that I've just read about here on fchat. Also, if we could organize some track time there, that'd be a blast. What do y'all think?

I agree, now up to an impressive 213 entries!

What the heck is going on in Colorado? That is quite a concentration of Ferraris....was there a real active dealership out there when the 308s and 328s were being sold?

I just added mine, though I'm actually slightly out of town. Can a marker be moved?

And be sure to match the color of your marker with that of the car. I see one red marker already which should be black......

I know it's not central but, how about Las Vegas? Lots of accommodations and lots of free large parking spaces.

The Mondial forum liked our map so much they asked if they could do one, too. So they started one this a.m. It's contagious.

The Dutch are often more fluent in English than some British people! Holland & Norway generally understand the language really well. The map is more reflective of English speaking ownership than a true distribution of 3x8s.

    Hey Scott,

Yes, not too far away at all.

Great collection of cars you have there. I bet the group would be interested in comparisons of what you own, particularly the Pantera vs. 308. Maybe in another thread?

    Best to you, Jeff

That'd be great for us on the left side of the map, but I don't know if that would be too far of a drive for the east coasters

    Hey Chris,

It just feels like five...don't know if I told you, but we are actually in the process of adopting a baby girl...so it's just Lucas and Melia.

I'd really like to do this national meet, because there are a few 308s that I want to meet in person, and yours is one of them. Sorry to hijack this thread.

    Meister,

I think you should post. You might want to put in the info box that you were an owner of whichever car for 12 years. You're more tenured than I am, at 3 years now.

    Thanks, Jeff

After I sold my Pantera I still got elected Pres. of our local club for one more year... So many Pantera owners just couldn't fathom why I wanted a 308. I took my then 13yo daughter to Monterey in the Pantera and she loved it... but we had a hard time talking (Pantera owners will understand this). I got the 308 and we could carry on a conversation at any speed.

Just added my car to the map. I just used the little city my PO Box is now in... I'm 2000 feet up the side of a mountain so I don't think Greg328's concerns (valid) will apply.

I know exactly what you mean Rick... My car has been stroked to 377 and has Hall "Big Bore" mufflers. I've actually drowned out a Harley at a stoplight once. He looked over and with a big grin said.. "Nice car!!!" :D

I wouldn't change a thing about the Pantera though.

I thought so...that's why a gathering couldn't be "our first national gathering." - that was all I was saying. I can't believe it was in 2008!!! I wanted to attend but life events at the time prevented my participation.

I think another "first national gathering" in Charleston, SC would be great!! :)
