The F355 can be lowered with a simple spanner wrench, no need for different springs.

The shock towers have threaded spring perches so the chassis can be setup any way the driver desires. You can raise and lower the car. You can change the roll axis inclination, you can change the understeer/oversteer relationship, without buying any parts.

The only reason to buy different springs for the F355 is to change the spring rate.

H&R makes "sport" springs for the 355. But yeah, no need to change springs to lower the car. Coilovers from the factory.

Just curious, has anyone here deviated from the factory specs in any way? Is there a "better" or "optimum" setup, or did the factory pretty much have it dialed in?

The factory had it dialed in for sure. You can firm up the ride with shock revalving and/or increased spring rates but you better spend the money to get things right when you do it otherwise it won't handle as good as the factory settings.

now that there are coils from start and the rideheight are adjusable, but tought it be better if i get lower springs instead of screw the ones i had down to much (?)

been checking on H&R springs, decent price to. Anyone who has them?

Unless you drive on absolutely level surfaces, I would not lower the height of a 355. You barely have 5 inches (12.5 cm) of clearance as it is.

I think the ride height is pretty good on the 355 ...... If I were to go any lower ... it would be maybe 5-7 mm all the way around at the most.

I did not know delta-vee offered springs :) ....... if I could go 30-50% stiffer on the front suspension as a spring/shock combination ... I would be very happy ..... :)

Bobzar ...... how much stiffer are the H&R? did you have the shocks stiffened up too?

Uconn ..... how much stiffer are these challenge springs? Front only?

I don't know, I never drove it with the stock springs (bought it with H&R installed), but it rides nicely in comfort mode on the Conti Extreme Contact DW's I have on it now. Sport mode I only use at autox or on track, otherwise it's a little too rough. I think increased damping would make the car too stiff for extended road use unless you were to tune it so they were only stiffer in the higher damping range that the actuators hit (not sure if that's possible?). Keeping in mind I take my car on the occasional thousand mile trip, comfort mode is perfect for street driving.

At the last autox I ran at, I finished 2nd in the street tire class on Dunlop direzza ZII's. 1st place was a fairly heavily modified EVO, unsure the tires he was running. The car is dialed in well enough that I can fine tune the handling just with tire pressures.
