I really hope to see Williams competitive this season.
+1 Hopefully, it's more than someone's idle speculation. (?) Phil's making all the right noises about the team and even though it was just test #1, it's gotta be better to be leading the times than trailing..... Would be great to see Sir Frank back in the mix. Cheers, Ian
And meanwhile Lotus were at Jerez today doing a 'filming day' which was in essence a shake down of the car aka watching the Renault powertrain burn to the ground whilst hopefully getting footage of the car prior.
Any reports you've seen as yet? Did it go up in flames? Was smoke ever seen escaping from the car? How many laps did they manage? Seriously, it would kinda suck if either Renault or Fauxtus were in that bad of a shape..... I'm no fan of the Cans, but even they should have a lump that'll last more than a handful of laps.... Cheers, Ian
Hahahaha. I also loved the TopGear rip of these utterly awful front ends. The blue "V" button would be hysterical.
OK, they may be slower, but seems like those who wanted 'less aero' and the jockeys to be more 'significant' may have had their wishes granted; Sounds like it could be a lot of fun...... Cheers, Ian
Anyone know if the new Lotus did in fact run today? I haven't seen anything to indicate it did. Sent from my XT1055 using Tapatalk
It was a "Filming day" so they are limited to 100Km and they have to run on demonstration tyres only. Basically all it will do is allow them to find out if the car's going to rattle itself to pieces or leak all over the place! (and get some nice arty shots of the car for promotional purposes of course! )
