    Hi guys,
I have a question regarding carbon ceramic brakes.
I have the opportunity to get a full set of carbon ceramic brakes from a 430.
I want this for my 360. I know that the cs comes with carbon ceramics but not sure it's a bolt on replacement.
    Thanks!

David- They should fit fine, 380 mm F, and 350 mm rear, but you need 19" wheels, which I think you already have. Make sure that brake set includes the caliper mounts. F430 and 360 steel brakes are the same size at 330 mm F&R. Should work fine with your current master cylinder unless brake feel is too heavy for you. If too heavy, the complete CCM brake booster and master cylinder set is available for ~$1K.

The Scud brakes are larger with 398 mm F rotors and monobloc calipers and take extra room inside the wheel. One reason the Scud/16M came with 8" F, different design wheels.

You need a stronger brake master cylinder unless you have Schwarzenegger's legs...otherwise you will really have to push very hard and could damage your original master cylinder

I have oversized ceramics and 6 piston calipers on my 575M with the original master cylinder and booster and that set-up works fine. Probably best to try it an see how it works first, and, if necessary, put on the larger booster/master cylinder combination.

    Hey Taz,
    Just a crazy question!
Can I fit the 360 brakes on my 612?
    Thanks!

    David,

While I ultimately replaced the complete brake sytem from the CS for my conversion, I drove the car with the CCBs and stock booster.

I did need a bit more pedal pressure, but not that much. I actually felt I could modulate the brake pedal a bit more with the stock booster Vs the CS set-up.

By far one of the best upgrades on any 360 !

I think I will be fine with the stock cylinder since I'm actually running with a StopTech 6 piston big brake kit and it work fine.

Just out of curiosity, why switch to ccb when you have the stoptech bbk?

David- The 612 front brakes are bigger than the 360 brakes at 345 mm vs 330 and the rears have a drum in the rotor for brake shoes. The 360 has a separate parking brake caliper.

Also the rotors on the 360 use a 5x108 mm bolt pattern and the 612 uses a 5x114.3 mm bolt pattern.

    For all these reasons, no.

Somebody might want to try your 360 fronts on an F355, though. Rears will not work because the F355 has parking brake shoes, too, like the 612.

Make sure you get the parking brake calipers as part of the deal - the CCM discs are thick and the stock calipers will not fit over them.

Apologies for a brief aside from the topic of this thread. Taz, I am thinking about getting a 575 that you looked at a while back and was hoping I could ask you a couple questions. It seems that you dont accept private messages, any way you would be willing to message or email me?

Again, my apologies for the brief thread hijacking.

Aldous- Correct on the parking brake calipers, should have mentioned that. Steel brake rotors are 28 mm thick and the CCMs are 34 mm, so quite a difference.
