I am replacing an aftermarket radio in my 355 with an brand new OEM radio/CD player originally made by Matsu****a (Panasonic) for a 2002 Honda Accord. It's a perfect match for the rest of the interior and its totally intuitive to operate which is what I want. It fits the dash exactly like the stock Becker and Sony radios.

My problem is how to remove the silk screened (at least I think its silk screened....its definitely painted on) "HONDA" name from the face of the plastic. I know its routinely done by guys that sell OEM radios. They say they use some kind of paint remover and it doesn't harm the plastic at all. It doesn't even leave a "ghost" where the letters were. Its just gone and you can't tell it was ever there. The trouble is, they won't tell me what they use.

I haven't tried anything yet because I wanted to research it first. Can any of you give me advice about what to use here? I've tried a number of sources for information but so far, no luck.

I know this is not the question but this is how I did it. It came from a 360, I tried to remove the labeling from a similar radio from a Porsche and it just looked awful. This one say Ferrari across the front and when it starts the screen says Ferrari. It has a green background too. Got it off of ebay for a 150.00 bucks. It's a CD player and I added the MP3 player plug function on the back, so I can plug my phone in and listen to MP3s. You just have to wait for someone who has upgraded and just want rid of it. Didn't have a security code but that's a simple fix, I can get that for you or there is an android app for 5.00 bucks. Now that would look good in your 355! :)
