Are people here using GPS or the Ferrari speedometer which tends to overstate speed by 10-15% ?

Neither. Tachometer plus speeds in gears which will actually underestimate slightly due to some tire swelling.

Ferrari speedos are very accurate. At 330 kph actual speed (per QR's GPS reading) the speedo was showing 340.

3% is the norm now. But my old 512BB was closer to 10%. .

We need a good caption. How about:

"GEESH! WHOSE IDEA WAS IT TO LET GRANDMA DRIVE?"

Was tooling down a 4 lane going to beach, happened to notice the speedo and casually looked over to my girlfriend and asked her (How fast do you think were going, she said 120).

That's awesome! But isn't it more gratifying watching the red line spike than seeing a number rise?

LOL, how is the average speed 14mph? Were you in traffic 99% of the time and then sped up to 196mph briefly?

Amazing. If I sat in traffic for 39 hours for a trip of more than 500 miles, I would need to ring it out also. :)

I admit it. I have not been close to this speed in my 458. Either the 14 mph average or the 196 mph peak.

I have 148 at COTA in Ferraris 458 (not mine). Car is rock solid. Not willing to do that on public roads.
