Saw this advert on the Internet for a 1968 Black 365 GT For 50k Euros.

The pictures he used are from a car that was for sale over at Beverly Hills Car Club in Los Angeles..

    The owner replied:

Thank you for your interest given to buy my car.
I am selling my car because I have family problems, I need money.
My nationality is Spanish, and now I live in Granada - Spain.
The car is with me here in Granada - Spain.
The car is like in the pictures (attached), is in good condition inside and outside.
Has never been any accident, no scratch and damage is in good condition and I want to sell quickly.
For delivery, we can use a transport company and delivery specialized in this field.
I'll pay the cost of transport
The company takes care of all the necessary documents for the registration and for the transfer of ownership.
If you are interested let me know.

Here are the details of the car:

    year: 1968
    car: Ferrari 365GT 2+2
    engine: 4400cc
    colour: black
    km: 83.000 km
    transmission: manual
    power: 320 hp
    price: 50.000 eur

    Smells fishy??

Total scam. What seller pays for the shipping cost anyway? String him along and ask a few questions about the car. Guaranteed he won't have a clue about anything.

Ask seller to email you a picture of the car with a glass of wine on the hood.
Or better yet, ask him to stand on front of the car holding a banana.

Look on google maps and find a town about 45 minutes away and tell him that's where you live. Try to make an appointment to see it. It's funny how the scammers try to backtrack then. I've used this technique several times and it works like a charm.

Definitely a scam. That photo is from Beverly Hills as you said. They take all of there pics in front of that wall. You should make him send you more pics and shipping information just to screw with him. Keep him busy and give him less time to scam.

Generic scam the traits of which have been doing the rounds for years. If you don't recognize this one then you must have lead a very sheltered life.

As I posted in this thread, the car is s/n 11607 and the photo was lifted from here: Sold Inventory. Total scam, of course. Then again, the price alone was enough to tell you this.
