I don't think that's being rude; helping people find/buy $1 million+ cars often do involve finders/consultation fees. Personally, I find it kind of odd that someone (particularly a newbie w/4 posts) using this....or ANY...forum to find a car of that rarity & price point. When you're playing in that league, you're networking thru auction houses, dealers, Wayne Carini, etc....NOT for someone who threw some photos up on a forum & saying "shoot me a PM". And when you do find a private seller, you usually are paying finders fees. I could be...probably am...wrong, but this kind of smells like attention-trolling or something to me. Nothing malicious, just kinda of 'off'. BTW, I'm certainly a newbie, and I'm not a Ferrari owner yet. I'm just starting to look for a 'gateway Ferrari', like a Mondial T (preferably w/Valeo), 355 or 360. I'll be coming into a bit of money soon, and I need to fulfill a lifelong dream that started in about 1975 when I was about 12 & rode in a 246 Dino. Kinda cute story. it was one of my dad's co-workers (Charlie Mann, who settled in the Atlanta area, if anyone here knows him) had it & took us to McDonalds. We hit 100mph, a huge milestone in & of itself, but the key was when we were getting our food, some kid told us "your dad has the coolest car I've ever seen". I was about to say "It's not my dad's", but my brother elbows me to shut up & said "yeah, it is, isn't it." At that point, I knew I had to own a car with the kind of gravitas that can lead someone to lie about their parentage.
