Best thing to do, if anything, is to smile and wave back. IMO :)

some guy in a dump truck in traffic in Baltimore city yells out for all 4 blocks to hear "yo man, you must get a hell of a lot of p*ssy in that thing!!!". I was glad I was not in a spider... it was funny but I was embarrassed.

The first time I drove a '06 F430 near midnight, I was cruising around 125mph(?) trying to push the car a little and there was this lane hogger that just won't give way. Lane hogger is much annoying than tailgater IMO. At least we can get away easily from tailgater.

Just saying though. Though usually I just wave them off.

Being in a Ferrari feels a bit similiar to being a celebrity. We always get the attention no matter where we go. Whenever I'm in the Ferrari waiting for the light to turn green, I always make sure I don't do anything ugly. Most 'car paparazzi' around town always have their picture posted on the local website. Time to change to darker tint? :)

Was at a car show tonight, and this lovely older couple asked me to pose in a picture of the car with them! I obliged, but put my arm around the guy and made rabbit ears over his head with my hand! Ha Ha! They never saw it! I just smiled and rolled with it!

Now, how come no young sweeties asked me to pose with them? :( ;)

Helps to be short, chubby and bald-headed. No problems then except every Mustang and rice burner wants to race.

No sweet, young things throwing themselves at me, except the neighbor lovelies, who know I am harmless, and all of whom have had a ride in the car.

I think you made that kid's all time car memory for a life time! I remember the first time sitting in the back of a Porsche 944 on the first day I arrived in America when my Mom's friend picked us up! Then seeing her husband's Ferrari upon arrival to their residence! I can still smell the leather and hear the engine to this date.

That same thing happened to me the other day, but it was a young kid (high school age) ridding shotgun in a Mustang. Just ignored him and enjoyed the rest of my drive.

You've captured it. The feeling...that "electricity" that sparks all over the place in the presence of these spirited cars, the parallel drawn to the human spirit. Good stuff there buddy!

"Excuse me sir, can I just ask what do you do as a job?"

"Hey buddy, can I ask you one question? Where did I go wrong in life?"

"I hate Ferraris, but thats partly because I could never afford one"

"OMG, OMG, OMG, dude is that car serious?"

"What do you do and how do you do it?"

"I wonder if life will ever get that good for me?"

    "Marry me now"

    "Porsche are better then Ferraris"

"My Honda could beat that Piece of S**T"

"Well it seems the economy isnt effecting all of us"

    "Hey bro, wanna race?"

    "Oooooo look its a Ferrari"

"Hey Dad, whats that red car called?"

"Even if I could afford one I wouldnt want one"

"I just dont see why anyone who could actually afford one would waste there money on one"

"I hate people who own cars like that, seriously there such dicks"

    "DUUUUUDE, thats totally sick bro"

"Yo, yo yo, thats meeeeeean as dude"

"Hey bro, what did you pay for your ride?"

and theres much more jealousy, cruelness, rudeness, very offensive comments, the spitting at you, the finger gestures, the revving up at lights, the throwing things at you, the running out in the middle of the road and dancing like an idiot, the pulling up to a pedestrian crossing and they give way to you instead, the evil looks, the millions of photos taken and the hatred. And its even worse if you own a late model Ferrari, everybody hates your guts. If the cars werent worth it I would sell them in a heartbeat, im so sick of the jealousy and hatred everytime i go out.

oh yeh, and the people that pull in behind you and follow you for miles and miles and miles

Most of the time if I'm going around shopping, I'll get an abundance of people coming up to the car while I'm still in it complimenting and appreciating the beauty of these Italian machines and politely asking for pictures. A lot of times, I'll see people sitting next to me on the highway for long periods of time taking pictures or recording videos with their phones.

It's always fun watching people's jaws drop as you fly passed them on the Interstate. Always get those people who will try to race you or make you step on it or come up next to you and roll their windows down to be able to hear the exhaust scream. Then there's the people who rev their engines at stoplights to make you rev it up and I usually gladly oblige. :D

It's definitely fun seeing the looks on people's faces and making their day just a little bit better because these Fcars are definitely rare here in Kentucky. You don't see them very much at all and I've only seen a few on the road besides car shows.

I've never had any issues with jealousy and "hatred" yet, but I haven't even owned the car for 6 months yet. But "ricers" and "people" of that nature attempt to act like you don't exist. :D

The first time I drove my wife to our local restaurant, parked it and went inside, the whole wait and kitchen staff came outside to look at it. I'm sure there were a few cold dinners after that. Funny thing is, as we were leaving, the owner said there was another Ferrari over by the cash point machine at the far side of the area parking lot. I stopped on the way out and lo and behold it was a black 430 Scud.
I get people taking photos all the time and guys on motor cycles give me the thumbs up.

Just read this and all very funny. But beware being in the faster car can go very wrong - a few years ago I was driving a lotus 7 and stopped at some traffic lights, a small hatchback car with 4 teenage lads pulled up next to me and they were reving the engine up waiting for the lights to go green. I played it cool didn't rev up, and thought as soon as the lights change I will put in a racing start and leave thee lads for dust and by the time I got up to the speed limit they would be so far behind thy would give up ........... when the lights changed I did the perfect start and as I went into second gear one of the drive shafts snapped of. As I Coasted to a halt the lads caught me up and shouted "wanker learn to drive".

I had a girlfriend sat in the passenger seat and she said " Is it meant to do that ?"

First Ferrari that I drove was a friends 458...

...so there I am, driving another guy's 458, with his hot wife in the passenger seat, with local drivers pulling up alongside giving me the thumbs up!!
    I kinda felt dirty!!!

I got the same thing, got the finger from a guy in a 3 series BMW who stuck his arm out to flip me the bird while passing me on the freeway on my maiden drive home! I was driving in the middle lane, going the speed limit, not passing or showboating. He sped up to get to me and flip me off.

I thought, oh jeez, guess I'll be getting used to this negative attention. But lo and behold, hasn't happened since.
