Hello to all Ferrari afficionados. Although I do write a story about a historic Ferrari every now and then as a journalist my personal interest goes to the more obscure sides of motoring. Things made in sheds, especially anything based on the good old Mini. However, I believe I may have found something now that may interest you guys here, too, as it's about a Mini that could have belonged to Enzo Ferrari himself. I have written about it on my blog: www.maximummini.blogspot.com I'd be much interested to learn what you think about it. Best regards, Jeroen Booij
Seems quite strange for such a tall man to find pleasure with such a small car... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Enzo loved the mini - he drove it him self back and forth from Modena to Maranello - the guy getting out of the car is his second driver - who used to just ride with him until he stoped driving on his own in the early 70's.
Have you ever driven one? They are great fun A friend of mine, 6'4" and larger than life, also had one
My wife had one back in the 70s. I am quite vertically chalenged myself, so no problem there! Great Fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I had one and can totally understand why Enzo had one. They are very charming. Best part of ownership was four young and tall men getting out of the car at gas stations. The looks we got were hilarious. Everyone and I mean everyone loves a Mini! Age and gender does not matter, people will smile. Very easy car to drive, and the quality was on par with Italian cars of the same era
I'm in the process of restoring my father's old 1966 Austin Cooper S. They are incredibly fun to drive.
Quite simply because he is a driving enthusiast. Nobody who really is a driver will not enjoy a Mini. Outstanding car and so damn chuck-able. Pete
Go onto 'You Tube', put in, Goodwood and Mini's, seek out the one which says "How to drive a Mini". If you don't get the message then you never will.
