Good Morning everyone, This is my first post, although I've been lurking for a little while as I try to soak up some knowledge and learn more about these cars. I haven't completely decided yet, but I think I would like to buy a late 328 GTS. I'm trying to work out how much they should cost at the moment, which is proving quite difficult as I'm sure that the price that some dealers put them up for is a little speculative, but I don't really know. There is one advert that has caught my eye: Used 1986 Ferrari 328 for sale in Leeds | Pistonheads Having briefly contacted them it seems the car will still be for sale after 1st March, it's just that it won't be advertised on PH any more. The interesting thing for me is that they have reduced the price twice this week from over £40k to its current £30k. There aren't many details at all in the advert, but I just wondered if anyone happened to know the car? Apologies for my first post being one asking for help! Julian
Welcome but it all sounds like a scam - no photos & the mileage seems unlikely for 7 owners & the price reduction is too extreme plus the date pressure Having said that if you get it and its a genuine car congratulations !
According to their entry on the Classic & Sportscar web page (Scaleboro Stocklist on Classic & Sports Car) 'One of the last four we have to sell so make us an offer' The other three apparently being a Mini, a 1983 VW Golf (@ £20K!) and an ex Army Land Rover. All must sell today, no p/ex and cash only. No address and only a mobile number. Just might be Kosher but I sense an aroma of rodent! As a first time buyer, may I suggest you restrict your search to the well established dealers, familiar with Ferrari and willing to facilitate an independent PPI? It is quite easy to run up a bill of £5K or even £10K bringing a dodgy car up to standard. Good luck!
Thank you John, I thought there might have been a small probability of someone saying "That's oid 'So-and-So's' car isn't it?", with maybe a little discussion on the car afterwards. However, it seems not, so back to a little quiet lurking for now.... Thanks again guys, Julian
Hi Julian I don't know the car but it looks alright to me. Mileage could easily be ok with that many owners so you shouldn't be put off. You would expect a folder full of invoices and MOT certs which will back it up for that kind of money too. Mine is an '86 car with 41k miles and 7 owners. All documented. I'd say go and look at some cars; drive a few and buy one from an established specialist. That's what I did after years of lurking on fc and haven't looked back. They are genuinely great cars. Good luck and let me know if I can help in any way. Cheers Graham
An past topic and probably not the same car but this one look at me since few time. The seller promise an upload ASAP since several weeks … Anyone know or have more informations about this Azzurro GTB ? Could be the only Azzurro RHD 328GTB ever produced ? Thanks in advance https://www.thesupercarrooms.co.uk/car-details/ferrari-328-gtb-abs-for-sale-DAZ
Stunning colour! Dealer has been around for a bit; no idea if they are any good but a google search should figure that out. As to the colour/number made be worth posting in the 328 section I’d suggest.
To my best knowledge anyone know exact number of each colour was produced. But this Azzurro is really not common. Very few have been seen but was GTS and in US. I "heard" of only one GTB, and it was an European left hand drive. The dealler doesn't share any information, so may some local ferrarista has already saw/see this particular car
