Owned a 348, raced a 348, own 2-550's, and fixed many of both models. I just engine outted a 348 a couple weeks ago. I say keep the 348 and buy a 550. Both are fully depreciated and if you sell either you can get your money back. Both are manual enough to never need a dealer or an SD2. Both have all the bugs worked out in the aftermarket for near toyota reliability with Italian flare. 348 you wind that go kart out and feel like a racecar. 550 torque will put you back in your seat and burning rubber in 3 gears will put a smile on your face yet in total comfort. You feel a little youthful drive the 348. You want to play fast executive 550 is your ride. You gotta own both!
