Has anyone installed a bigger brakes in the front of a f355? I heard that 360 will fit, but not sure if it will just bolt on straight. Your contributions Thanks guys. By the way I feel that f355 brakes are not really for fast driving.
Brembo and Stoptech make big brake kits for the 355 but they aren't cheap. Stock brakes are perfectly fine unless you plan to seriously track the car.
I had F40 calipers with 13 inch rotors on the front and stock on the rear. Worked pretty good but sometimes the fronts locked up. I now have Stoptech on front and rear and really like them. Nice balance front to rear.
We did a big break kit in house here at Fabspeed on a customers 355. We had to custom make a 3mm spacer (maintains hubcentricity) that I include with the kit. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here is another pic of said customer's 355 track day car. The Brembo GT kit STOPS! Be warned, you will need to upgrade your suspension & tires if you want to utilize the brakes to their fullest potential. The stock springs are soft and the car nose dives hard with upgraded brakes. We are going to be doing a JRZ double adjustable remote reservoir kit on this car in the near future - much better handling while IMPROVING ride quality. As Evan said, these brakes will fit under the stock wheels with a 3mm spacer in the front only. The fill up the wheels really nicely and look awesome. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Eric355 fitted larger Porsche brakes to his F355. Full story is in here somewhere. 360 or Maranello brakes (330 F&R and 330 F and 310 R) would likely fit, but the parking brake on the 360 uses a separate caliper, the Maranellos are shoes like the F355. Here it is. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355/258160-not-so-expensive-brake-upgrade-f355.html Porsche calipers and Maranello 330 mm rotors.
The Brembo GT kit is a 2 piece 332mm Diameter front & rear with aluminum hats for reduced unsprung weight. We opted for the slotted rotor, rather than the drilled, as they resist cracking better over the long term.
Chris, were you able to maintain e-brake functionality? I have a brembo big brake kit on my 355 and the handbrake is iffy at best. It's going into the shop this week and I'm going to have them check to see if it just needs new shoes or if the brembo kit (installed by the previous owner) makes it an impossibility.
The 348 and 355 use the same stoptech kit. ST retains the parking brae function. I have driven a 348 (bushmobile) with the stoptechs and they are very good. I race on stoptechs on heavy corvette and I have never had better brakes. ST has really upped their game also being in the OEM marketplace.
Like that Threat Taz, and thanks, however HK law requires direct bolt on calipers, with additional " bridge" it will be MOT failure..... Since I have another F430 with CCB, I do feel the big difference between two F cars.
Anyone who is looking to do the Brembo kit I posted earlier in this thread, PM me for special forum member pricing on the kit!

Philppe, What are you running on the rear? If stock, how is the brake balance since there is so much more brake in the front?
Most likely due to increased clearance that the 355 Challenge Speedline wheels offer, along with all the associated changes including stiffer springs and tyre compounds used in racing.
