I witnessed it. The bugger runs. Outstanding job Bruce. The effort to get it to this point is mind boggling. I am not sure I would have done it.

Great job Bruce! I can't wait to see some pics......and maybe some video?

It seems like it was just yesterday we were ratcheting it up on the trailer a few clicks at a time.:)

Don't mean to Hijack but the "Bushmobile" had engine out on Friday and back in Saturday and running awesome today! Newbie Chad was a great engine out assistant. He can do it himself next time. I have not driven a 348 for more than a couple miles in 15 years! I had a nice drive today and I missed it. A 348TB is so rock solid. What a great car. Thanks Copterjon!

Awesome! Chad sent me a pic of the car with the Cali plate on it. It looked like sunny blue skies so I asked if he was out enjoying it. A few minutes later he sends me a text saying you guys pulled the motor and started the major. 24 hrs. later he sends me pics of the engine back in and saying it was almost done.

Congrats to both team "Bushmobile" and Bruce for jobs well done.

Well you are such an awesome custodian of the Bushmobile the job was easy with no surprises. It has been 15 years since I tore into a 348 that deeply and I stayed on schedule and I did not break anything...whoo...hoo!

    98451 goes lithium.
It needed a battery. I just couldn't bring myself to put a 40lb+ lead-acid in that sucker. I love the Odyssey 680 in the tree car, but this one is even smaller and lighter!

Plenty, but then again I don't run a thumpa-thumpa while sitting in the parking lot.

I've been thinking about doing the same thing the next time I replace mine. That's a big weight savings! And think, you don't even have to remove the rear wheel to install it!

You will love this Antigravity battery. I installed their YTX12-24 last year in the 348 and it has plenty of craning power. The weight difference is so big that you will notice a handling improvement.

Yes. They ordinarily don't do business there though, but will if you have cash.

Can you put it on a normal trickle charger to maintain charge?

It says it can hold a charge for a year without parasitic loss but I know that my 348 draws a few mili amps when parked.

I am quite interested in this.

    Thanks,

    Kai

Never mind. Just found the answer to my own question. They sell a $64 lithium charger...

    Ordered the same battery... :)
