Coming up on a year of trouble free ownership - still as happy as the day I took delivery. Been smiling ever since! Realistically, what should I expect to pay for a full annual service at a dealer? Have F1 transmission and just coming up on 15k miles. Clutch was around 28% worn a year ago so I am expecting not to need one this go around, so just the normal service. I have heard several different numbers out there but would just like some updated info so I can be sure I'm not being overcharged (or no more than anything involving a Ferrari...)
I have heard anything from $1200 - $2200 depending on what is actually being done during the annual service. Some shops quote an oil change and cabin filter as an annual and quote $1200.00 ( Takes a few hours ) Others charge closer to $2200.00: Oil, Brake, Coolant, Transmission, Engine Filters, Cabin filter, and actually performing the checklist of adjustments and updates as available. ( drop off day one, pick up day two ) We come in closer to $1980 with FC/FCA Discounts considered. ** And a full Detail is included when you mention you are a FC/FCA member LMK if we may help, S
Ferrari San Francisco quoted me ~$1000 for an annual routine service, and then an extra $1K every other year (hence $2k) for some addons on alternating years. I have more detailed notes in a folder at home on exactly which services items are included every year and which items are every other year. I'll find and post later. Sounds very similar to the prior poster.
I've owned my '07 F430 for 5 years now, and my annual runs between $900.00 to $1,100 depending on which fluids are changed out, such as brake and F1 changeout. This is at my Ferrari Auth Dealer.
One-year service (oil/filter change, brake flush) is around $600. Two-year service (all fluids changed/flushed) is around $1200. Other services such as alignment, etc. are separate. Major service (plugs, full fluids, etc.) comes up at around 30K miles, IIRC. I don't know its price.
Wow. You have gotten prices far below what any dealer I've gotten a quote from has charged. Even cheaper than the indies I've used. OP - The definition of "annual" varies greatly, mostly around which fluids are changed. My take is that the minimum that many shops do (which skips the F1 fluid and few other things) is around $1100 +/- and the "all fluids and filters" version (which many of us do every other year) is around $2000 +/-. So, it depends upon which fluids you want changed...
I've had my 2005 8.5 years. I've paid generally just a little less than RobD at FOD. My car is a 3 pedal and that saves a small amount. 2K is a total ripoff. My last 2 "annuals" were 1151. and 462. Dave
The price of California. It is not the land of bargain prices. If those prices were for annuals at the official Ferrari dealership, that's great. You are paying half for probably the same thing. If those prices are for an independent mechanic then its not an apples to apples comparison as the independents around here are significantly cheaper too.
This is definitely lower than most authorized dealerships, I would think, including my local dealership here at FoH. You must be getting special treatment at your dealership.
We get 10% off labor for being FCA members, but I think the big difference is we are being charged for actual time vs some book number. How long does an oil and brake fluid change take? Another thing to watch out for is cabin and air filters. I suspect some dealers change these routinely even though they may only have a few thousand miles on them. Dave
I agree. Most dealerships charge labor by the book and not the actually hour(s) it takes to do a fluid change. They also change cabin/pollen filters, I think, every annual service routinely even if you only put a few hundred miles since the last visit, unless you tell them not to change.
Dave's rates are extremely low. My dealer charges around 1100 for an annual service and 2200 for a second annual which includes all fluid changes. I found a good independent who did my second annual for 1100 this past summer. BTW I have a 07 430 3 pedal also.
Maybe FL dealers figure you guys can pay more than us cow town hicks. Sounds like your indy is fair. Dave
Yes, I'm happy with the indie. Nice guy plus he owns a CS. I love our dealer but they push the pencil pretty hard.
Thanks for the info guys - very helpful. Anyone have a good experience with an indie in the Dallas area?
