LIKE NEW. Un-frickin-believable. This was an interesting experience. I got the call from DJ Mayo that she was ready at the beginning of our last snow storm. I saw it fresh out of his garage and could tell it looked great, but the 50 minute drive home and it was covered in salt and anti-ice crap. Sat like that for a week. Yesterday I took it into Penske to get a couple of items sorted and told them despite how it looked with the protective salt coating, to make sure they used a new rag when they washed it. Drove it home, parked it and took this pic. UNBELIEVABLE. Even better, when they pulled it out of service, they parked it next to a brand new Cayenne in the same color, nine years newer and mine looked significantly better. The 22PLE coating makes it look like wet nail polish.

Colors in general look great on a Cayenne TTS. I respect that the majority out there choose and appreciate what some might consider more refined hues for these flagship vehicles, black, white, gray. I don't get it. I want color. Not many to choose from. There are only about dozen 2006 TTS's out there for sale, as rare as my 612, and most of them are black. This one is special. The color is terrific, but more, it has every possible option inside and out. Interior is amazing.

I just got a Cayenne S and love it. I can imagine what the Turbo and TT are like. I didn't want to play with that much HP in our snow and ice though so the S was the right choice for me. Love it though. Fantastic in the snow.

The turbos are just as good in the snow. If you're not digging into the gas enough for boost, no major difference. I've had an s, turbo and turbo s. They all handle beautifully in the snow.

Best car I've driven in the snow. I grew up in Wisconsin and had
    Bronco II. (Two of them)
    Expedition
Jeep Grand Cherokee (two of them)
    Hummer H2
Jeep Patriot, Ford Escape. (Wife's cars)

The Cayenne is better than all of them and as good as the Hummer in the snow but with the better turning radius I'd take the Cayenne over the Hummer even. Awesome snow car. Running new Bridgestone Dueler Ecopias on it and they are fantastic. They were ranked high and I had them on my FJ Cruiser in Cali and loved them.

Turning radius on the Cayenne is amazing. Everthing down to the four zone climate control and four heated seats is just superior.

Not over yet. Lance signed the title in the buyer spot. We're still waiting on the new title and I can't register it yet.

Hasn't really had any impact. We'll get there. The credit union isn't bothering me about it. More worrisome is the radar detector I need to get cut off. Illegal in VA. I forgot to tell Penske to do it. Will need to get a local stereo shop to get it done.

DJ and I have been great friends, and have detailed many cars together over the years. He's an incredibly talented detailer, and a stand-up guy as well. The 22ple was just the icing on the proverbial cake!
