In the last month have used Spiders selling for over, under or around MSRP? I suspect the premiums above MSRP are mostly over. Anyone have recent first hand knowledge?
In the Miami area, my dealer has two 2014 used spiders , both with under 500 miles and asking 55k over MSRP. I currently have a 2013 Califiornia and waiting for an allocation for a Spider. I offered 30k above MSRP on one of the above vehicles and no go. Ill wait for my allocation.
2013 458 spider with 4K miles. Rosso corsa with nero leather and nero alcantera interior. cf racing seats, black alcantera inserts on seats and doors, roof liner, backwall, red stitching, led steering wheel, CF racing package, cf pillar,cf winglets, cf exterior sills, cf rear bumper moulding, shields, rosso calipers, homelink, AFS System, standard wheels. MSRP $314K. So what do you think, MSRP + $10K?
Wow, $30K over msrp and they turned it down. That's strong. Was it recent? The cars I've seen selling appear to be listed at about $25K over so I would have assumed they were selling at ~$15K over. I was in same boat as you had a deposit for 1 year and didnt want to wait another year so I'm going used.
That offer was made just last Friday. My thinking was to trade my Cali now for a 458 before it takes a futher depreciation hit and still take my allocation on a new Spider. I would anticipate getting MSRP back when trading in the Spider.
current issue of Ferrari Mkt. Letter lists 19 458 Spiders for sale lowest price: $243,900 next lowest: $299,980 highest price : 2 priced at 395,000 that's a very big spread for 19 cars from 2012 -2013
I have a 458 Spider for sale. 2013, Grigio Silverstone/black with 2800 miles. I am looking at $20,000 over MSRP. Too me it is a great price for this beauty. If any interest please PM me.
I just traded in 2013 recently with about 2500 miles...I found the dealer gives about 30k below list and then posts it at about 10k above list. My guess is they get orginal list or maybe slightly above on a 2013. I can't see buying a 2013 private sale above list when you can get it at a dealer for that price.
I've found them 10 to 20K over list, especially, if well equipped. I looked at one for a friend from a dealer, it was 20K, over list, plus they wanted to be compensated (again) adding the 2012 gas guzzler tax, and the 12K air freight shipping charge. Dealer was firm and said the former gas guzzler tax, and air shipping charge is non negotiable, clearly part of the overall used 458 selling price. To me, that is unethical to double dip. But seems they can get away with.
All buyers a different...different situations, time lines and needs. I found the car I bought from advice on this forum. glad I did. no regrets. bought the 2012 with 851 miles which was delivered just over a year ago. I paid ~$40k over MSRP. Glad to be enjoying the car. Best Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Update. Bought one at $325K, $10K over MSRP. I find this info on this forum very useful and used it when doing research when I bought my 360 spider. Thanks for the info. I'll do my best to help others in the future.
Oh dear I just managed to get - in effect approx £25k below list price on a new spider here in England ! Anybody else in the UK manage this. Basically I got appox £25k more for my trade in 458 italia as part ex. I hope it wasn't because it was a cancelled order - Bianco Avus in colour.
3300 miles to be precise. Car is a 2013 and was built May 2012, so it's 1 1/2 years old. In four years when my car has 20,000 miles on it and I'm ready to move on it wont matter if it had 1800 or 3300 when I bought it.
That corresponds with how I found the market when I sold recently. I don't quite understand it except it was interesting to see no crowds or punters round the Spider at Geneva yet there were round every other model. Has it lost its appeal slightly in the UK? Oversupply or is it priced just too close to the F12?
10k over sticker is not bad for a 2013 with that mileage. However, are you sure you are going to hold on to it that long especially with 458 replacement coming out soon?
