    How is the loctite 512 working out on the gearbox oil pans? I've seen them leak just using that stuff, I swapped to Hondabond on both sides of the gaskets and zero leaks, same for the joining of the block to the gearbox. 512 seems to be too brittle IMO

    I've tried everything from threebond, permatex, etc and find they all work about the same. The thing that scares me is seeing all the silicone stuck in the oil pickup screen so I went with a anaerobic. I found with the pans it's all about getting them super clean and tq to spec. Allot of times you will find guys overtighten them even by hand and warp the pan. Put it against a straight edge and check before reinstalling. I normally have to mill them lightly to straighten them out.
