They have been trending up in price but I think this is a bit optimistic.

    All,

I like them but no engine pics is not a good sign, the cosmetics look good.

woa.. why the hate? It's a gorgeous car, sounds great, and I bet you won't see two of these at any one Italian Car Night - ever... Molto Raro..

Why is it worth so much? Well, it isn't - no one was willing to bid beyond the reserve. I think they're pretty cool..

I love the fiat Dino's. Came really close to buying one before I bought my GT4.

If you think thats expensive, then look at this in GBP Used Fiat Dino cars for sale with PistonHeads
Although I must say they are great cars with a fantastic sound ,I am a bit biassed owning a 2.0 dino coupe which I prefer over the gt4. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b690c20ZFBI]Fait rarissime 2013 Linselles Fiat Dino V6 " Belles & Brutales " - YouTube[/ame]

This "Sh*tbox" has more of a link to Enzo`s son Dino than than your "real dino",and is being dragged up by the crazy dino 246 prices.

The 2.4's we're made at the Ferrari Factory. Great touring cars. I love ours.

    Great ones are 200k.

Rarity has value as do real convertibles.

Prices in this overheated market have little correlation to value.

That being said the Fiat Dino is a cool car and a ragtop will always bring a premium.

I actually like the looks of the coupe more. I think we forget there are so many other Italian cars out there. It seems like many of them have been gaining in value. Lancia Flamina's, Aurelia and everything else have gone nuts. Heck, a fiat Jolly is ridiculously priced but as people say, smiles per hour can be more valuable. There are some very pretty little Alfa coupes and convertibles (before the famed spider). Somehow our cars are getting left behind - perhaps they were overpriced when they came out? Maybe there are too many cliche's and stigmas attached to them; too slow magnum, '80's excess or for the GT4's case not being a real Ferrari or the only Bertone out there (all not my opinion, except the 80's excess part that I happen to love. I still haven't seen the Wolf of Wallstreet and it's killing me!)

If you are really one of the people on here that I see all the time then you are here because you love this car. This is your thing. I remember when I first started to get my car road worthy again and yelcab came over to take a look and help me with an intro to electrics. He said, "You have to do this because you love this car and Ferrari. The car will never pay you back." or something to those sorts. What he didn't see was the Ferrari shrine I had downstairs. If my car's value fell to $5,000, I would still put $20,000 into fixing it over time and I am not a wealthy man (rental apartment in Silicon Valley, 1 car garage). I love my car. I feel special when I get to drive it. I want it to be on the road forever. I don't think I would ever sell it. I almost don't want it to be worth more so I can afford to fix it. If you want an investment car, go buy an Enzo era carb'ed front engine 12cyl, a vintage race car with provenance or some new "special". Can't afford it, too bad, life goes on. I'm right where I want to be. Oh, and remember many people call our cars "*****boxes" too. One man's trash......

I have to ask - why the obsession with what the current 308 market is worth?

I think it only matters if:

    1. you're selling
    2. you're buying

Otherwise, and I've said it before, just drive and love the "F" out of it..
