    I think it is the Lemans version judging by the rear cover wich had 3 openings at Lemans instead of the 2 at Sebring. Not really to much difference other than number decals and slightly different bodywork below the doors and smaller scoops above the rear wheels.

    The Alfa 2300 LM 1932 body is amazingly perfect compared from old photos!!

    FPPM update:

    Fernando from FPPM has told me the Alfa Romeo 2300 8C Lemans 1933 Nuvolari/Sommers 1/24th kit is ready and will start shipping next week. Next up is the Talbot Lago Lemans 1950 followed by the Ferrari 375 F1
    Silverstone all in 1/24th scale. That will be followed by the other Ferrari's......

    The 2008 looks great. A few grand? Seriously? Hmm, that's hard to justify for me.

    For both kits around a grand and a half........That is not bad I don't think, but they are curbside.

    That BIG Transporter looks very interesting, and huge! That's going to need a dining table as a display base! I wonder what price range? I see that CMM continue to reverse engineer - 3D scan smaller models to create digital files, and then print out in bigger scale to make their 1:12th master models. This time the CMC 1:18 transporter was used.

    $ 950

    Which is pretty fair given the other 2 cars and figures you get with the truck

    Thanks Andreas, and I agree with you on the value. Even though the CMM kits are very rough, still looks like a good deal for all that is included.

    I'd also be interested in a 1/18 712.

    Well not so long ago a French company called Profil24 made a 1/18 scale resin kit of the 712 as it raced at Watkins Glen in 1971. Haven't seen one advertised for a long time though.

    MG Models had done some Dino 206's in 18th scale before they folded so the patterns are out there. And as stated above Profil24 did the 712 in 18th along with the 73LM 312PB but those went out of production many years ago.

    I understand FPPM models will also do the 1934 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Lemans winner in 1/24th kit form soon. That is the blue Chinetti car. He will have made all 4 Alfa Romeo Lemans winners.
