    Any techs reading this the hill engineering hood tool is a must. Slips in perfect but you still only have about 1/8th of a turn before you hit the head. Perfect work for the apprentice.

    We pulled the trans fully out of the car from the bottom then pulled the motor out of the top.

    Venturing to guess the oil starved cams stopped turning and chewed out the timing belt? seen this in other makes where a worn chain guide (plastic fiber bits) getting stuck in the oil pump and starving the top end. was this the case in yours??

    years/ miles since this as last done? ever? I came close by not doing any thing for 8 years and 8,000 miles. one belt was cracked. stupid. too many cars(47) and a long dry spell of funds(O-bomb-a) got me in that mess. instant(30 day) income dropped 75%!
    . at 74 I started selling assets. something i should have done in 05. bad over in 2012. now finally back in the black(but not rolling in dough, spending it too fast) its so much fun again.

    The owner of the car purchased it 2 weeks before this happened. It had a recent major service with in 1-2 year I believe. Didn't have anything to do with what happened though. The car has 16-17k miles.
