Sorry but from the current Ferrari lineup, 458, new California, F12 and FF, they better make a new car which it's design elements are towards the Laferrari as the current model line that's out doesn't appeal to some people which is why they aren't selling many. We need more race inspired and low riding cars, more like the way Lamborghini does it. I just read that they're selling record numbers and they can't keep up like 1000 orders for the Huracan in just 2 months and over 1000 Aventadors in a year!
If you had just spend whatever moneys it is to get you LaF, and still likely to take delivery, and Ferrari releases a new car with the same engine that is faster than the car you don't have yet and cheaper...won't you be a bit miffed? Leave it KERS-less to save a good amount of weight, design a bit like the millechile (likely on the LaF tub). LaF will be still be much faster in a straight line. See it as the GT3 RS and GT2 RS. Or something.
Could it be a version designed by Pinifarina? I do at least remember some quotes about along the lines of "fear not, our collaboration with Pinifarina is not over and we are currently working on something special together" or something like that as an answer to the lack Pininfarina involvement in the design of the LaFerrari.
Pininfarina was involved in the design of LaFerrari. It was a competition between them and Ferrari Design. The Ferrari design was viewed as better. Beyond that the Ferrari designer Flavio Manzoni had another design which he also wanted to develop for another car. That design was not shown in the museum display and would possibly be something for the future. Ferrari stated they turned down 200 build orders for LaFerrari that exceeded the production limit set by them. There is certainly room for another model after LaFerrari is complete.
They were involved in the design process, but not in the final design that was put into production which was what I was referring to. At least not according to Luca di Montezemolo: “There is nothing from Pininfarina in this car, but we are working with them on two other models, which I hope will come to market soon,” LaFerrari Is First Ferrari Designed Completely In-House In the quote he also mention that they are working together on two new models that will likely debut soon as you can see. I would guess one of them is the 458 Italia successor but which is the other? I don't think it is unreasonable to suggest it is this special LaFerrari.
The new California has some Pininfarina work; it does not wear their badge but they displayed one car at their stand at Geneva.
I think the "other car" is an even more limited run car, unique styling. It wouldn't make sense to create another line of "volume" cars.

Speculation 3 : LaFXX. US$2.0m Limited to 199 units. LaF owner have first right of refusal. Speculations are for entertainment ;-) purposes, not Ferrari authorized. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That is true. But take it easy. Clearly stated : speculations, for entertainment purposes only, not Ferrari authorized. The thing is when you introduce these new cars wouldn't current LaF order holders feel slightly miffed? That more cars are coming to the market driving down future resale value. Giving current LaF order holders first right of refusal pleases them ANd it gives those who did not get LaF to a chance to either get these new models or get the LaF should some owners decide to sell one and keep the other. So it is for the people who were not lucky or quick enough the first time, but also doesn't piss off current LaF buyers.
this is the best of your speculations, it could be 458 but with totaly new body design, no carbon tub, no V12
Is it you that have done the renderings lcworld? Could you render a Maserati MC12 successor based on the LaFerrari too?
Appreciate it :-D (I think if they do it it'll be a killer, taking away some sales from Aventador, Huracan and 918.)
