Hi Greg, A nice piece of Dino history you have there! It also shows the name of the Lady that originally specified and placed the order for 07770 .... Miss A.Colquhoun.
Hi Jez, Lovely Dino you have, great to see it restored to original colours! I once sat in your car! (Hope you don't mind) When it was auctioned by Coys at the Silverstone Historic Festival back in 1999. Here are the pictures that I have of your Dino. Thats amazing that you have kept hold of these pictures Peter..... thank you for sharing them! Its going to look the same hopefully, but with the original black roof, and dark blue leather, rather than cream (although that combination must have looked good also! regs, jez
just found out that i have the original jack ,chock and case with my Dino..... i dint realise that this was such a big deal, until i saw what some guys are trying to ask for these items on Ebay! It looks from the photo that the knob on the main jack handle is missing ..... does anyone know where i could find a replacement (if they are even available)? The top cap on the gearbox looks missing as well. These are available from some suppliers but I haven't come across anyone who has made the knob. Keep them under lock and key as they are now highly prized possessions and easily stolen. PS don't ever be tempted to use the jack
I'm curious Tony, ..... what disaster happens if one is foolish enough to attempt using the Jack ?! From trawling around on this forum i have found a company in California that manufacture classic Ferrari parts such as the plastic and rubber elements for the Dino jack, as well as many other obscure bits and pieces.....

I used it once many years ago and crapped myself. The whole thing rocked and the top jack section was so close to the door you couldn't slide a gnats whatsit in between!!
Oh, I see! Whats the best way then, if you have to change a wheel when your out and about (and assuming not anywhere close to a friendly garage)? the company that sells the bits and pieces for the Jack, that i have contacted is called PR Products in California ..... they do stock the Jack handel knob as well as all the other bits of trim often missing from this item, reasonable prices too....
Their jack handle knob is not correct for a Dino jack. The correct knob has a "B" on it, which stands for Battaini, the maker of the jack. Also note that the jack top comes in 2 different sizes, so you need to be sure to order the correct version.
Thanks for the update Ron Is the correct Knob , currently available from any supplier? will ensure i get the correct measurement for the jack top , also. regs, jez

I am not aware of any supplier that produces the Battaini jack handle knob, but would like to know if anyone else has a source.

Hi Simon, i will be in the UK and down in Kent with the car , the 12-14th April...... if you want to come down to KHPC in Maidstone to meet up and take a look around the the finished result, you are more than welcome. Regs, Jez
Bella! Must be the best time to drive around in UK, also. Congrats! Look forward to hear the details when you are back in town. Ken
Thanks Ken and Jimmy. For the moment the UK weather is indeed behaving itself! The really sad thing is that I can't bring the Dino back with me to Tokyo, I would love to have her at home to drive and stare at in the privacy of my own garage! Unfortunately she will remain my long distance Italian 'mistress'! Would be great to catch up with u both again soon..... Yokohama ,one weekend soon? Regs, Jez
