Post this in the 308 forum and then gauge the results you get there against what you get here :)

    By the way - I vote 328.

    Thanks Big red!

That could explain why the 348 are difficult to find.

Also, I have been in two 348 to date: 1 was flawless but it was not for sale (colleague's car) and one that I "feel" the maintenance was never performed properly...

There is another one I need to go see (EURO version).

I am really not in arush of buying it.

Ok....if the 348 didn't have looks that would make a train take a dirt road, people would make replicas of them too. How's that??

348 owners can always fire back with things like " if you drive a 355 replica , do your headers and valve guides every 10k to really make it feel like you drive a 355" oh and make sure you pay your mechanic 15k to do it so you get the full anal effect of 355 ownership

Not all of us , alot of 348 or 355 , when we walk our feet actually do touch the ground. Me personally, i love my car, but i look at it in the garage, and i realize its beautiful but it really isn't anything special, a daytona spider , an f40 , theyre special, 348 / 355 just a basic nice car. I don't se the reason for the attitudes, its an entry level ferrari, . The 348 was criticized for being " mass produced" look at those production numbers , at 64 k that title should go to the 355, damn , i don't think pontiac made that many fiero's . Lol
People choose the model they love , that's what makes us all happy, to come off with some stupid remarks like looks that make a train take a dirt road , just prove who the little dick hairdresser gelheads are, you've earned those titles for a good reason.
When you change your name to gtorocks or californiaspiderrocks, you've earned bragging rights, but then people with those type models have the class to not make stupid condescending remarks. But from a 355 owner? This is where my eyes roll so far back in my head i almost have to go to the emergency room.

Listen, Serene One, there's witty banter and there's just being toxic - you were the latter.

48 hours off to think about it. Please be more of a gentleman upon your return.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

We buy what we can afford, if I could afford a 458 then I would most likely have a 458! I personally could afford a 348 or a 308, I choose the newer and easier to find parts for car. I love the older cars, they are beautiful cars but I'm not rich, so I choose a car that would be easier to fix myself. I do all my own work because I love to work on my car but that is just a personal preference. If you can afford a 355 then I glad for you, but I knew I couldn't afford that period, not to mention all the issues and cost that comes with ownership.

I love my somewhat modern Ferrari but would have a 430 or 458 if I could afford it. There is no reason to make this anything else. If someone here that owns a F12 and wanted to play with something that is old and still fun to drive then that would be an entirely different situation. This is whether someone should buy a 328 or a 348, end of subject.

Lets get back to the subject at hand, should he buy a 328 or a 348?

Off topic but I like the prices I see in the post above. Almost 95,000 British pounds which is close to $150,000 US for a 355 spider!
