i do not have one yet, as i have not taken delivery of my F12 yet; more i look into it, the more i consider NR rear boxes and NR X-pipe

Anyone who has an F12 and wants an exhaust, Fabspeed is looking for a car for development purposes and can offer an excellent incentive plan :)

I like the IPE sound. I've worked with Scuderia systems on the exhausts of my last 2 Fcars and i've been beyond pleased. I've come to the conclusion to go with NR X-pipe and Capristo rear boxes. if i want (never really need) more then i will add the NR sport cats and ECU upgrade at a later stage - i'll know by the time i drive home from picking it up - 325KM - if i "need" the further additons

As you know the Ferrari 599 has headers with primary cayalytic converters. Under the 599 Fiorano there are 2ndary redundant catalytic converters that Fabspeed made straight pipes for many years ago. However the 599 does not have a center muffler resonator so we can not make an X pipe or resonators delete pipes for more sports car sound.

I have examined in person the new F12 and FF Ferrari cars and have the exhaust schematics. Ferrari has simplified the exhaust on both these cars and now there are only 2 main Left & Right catalytic converters and a center undercar big muffler resonator.

I have in stock super highflow 200 cell tri-metallic 130MM round HJS German sports racing catalytic converters and a full fabrication CNC shop waiting for an F12 and FF so we can mandrel bend and fabricate a set of super quality Sports Racing highflow catalytic converters and an X pipe (muffler bypass pipes ina X configuration for maximum scavenging and flow) for the F12 and FF.

The Fabspeed sports racing catalytic converters and our X pipe will not cause a CEL light and best of all the car will have a lot more power and sports car sound guaranteed.

For those individuals that want NO catalytic converters we can engineer catbypass pipes..............in that case your F12 and FF would sound like a 599XX race car!!

You really don't have to change the rear muffler on these late model big V12 cars as when the valves are open its a straight through exhaust as you can see and hear on any 599.

The first F12 owner that shows up gets hooked up big-time and also Free Dyno testing. Springtime is almost here and its almost driving season.

I recently had the vacuum line removed from the exhaust. This simple mod completely changes the character of the stock exhaust. Louder at low revs as expected but it now burbles like the SLS. Definitely a must do for those of you wanting more sound.

For sure. My master service tech did it for free on my California. Much more aggressive sound even at low revs. He advised me to defer this mod with my 458 spider which is much louder as I drive in race mode 99% of time. Be that as it may, I am planning on pulling the vacuum lines on the spider as well.

Just try it while you are waiting for the Capristo!

I was considering changing the exhaust but this mod is good enough for me.

I would always logically recommend unplugging the rubber vacuum lines to valved actuated mufflers to test the sports car on all cars. At fabspeed Motorsport we do this all the time for dyno evaluation, sound comparison and testing.

It's fast, quick and typically Free for any car owner and gives you a good idea of what is available in 10 minutes without spending considerable money.

For example, I have Xrayed many mufflers and also fibrous optically inspected mufflers. On many Bentley Continental GT, Aston Martin, and Jaguar cars when the valve opens the car is very sporty and sound great.

On these cars fabspeed will engineer and manufacture secondary catbypass pipes and or sports racing cats and these parts enhanced the sports car sound and rear stock OEM mufflers.

If a enthusiast wants more sports car sound we can unplug the rear vacuum lines to the muffler valves and then plug the line and the car is even sportier with out buying new rear mufflers for thousands of dollars.

The restriction in the exhaust is typically with the stock catalytic converters, eliminating multiple redundant catalytic converters and keeping the stock mufflers.

Ferrari California's and Ferrari 599 and Maserati grand Turismos really wake up with these simple logical dyno verified simple Bolton modifications

May I ask why? Just curious.

Not a fan of the IPE F1 458 exhausts myself as it sounds very artificial to me.
