    Hello Gentlemen,

I suppose I am yet another party also looking for one.....

I am looking for a driver. Fair/ high miles Ok.

I Prefer a coupe but a convertible would be fine. Red, Black, charcoal or blue.
No wrecks, No projects, no salvage title ( my bank will not finance).
SERIOUS buyer, coming off Active-duty and have been looking for a solid driver.

Thank you all putting up with the rant. I appreciate all insights and advice in advance.

    Regards

    Louis

    Hello,

Anyone familiar with the TS posted for sale in TX?
At $34K it's up there for an early coupe. Based on what I have read, the early pre-93 cars are more problematic; is that the case?
This coupe is a 1990 and has 30K miles. Very abbreviated info in the ad.

I have also seen that 94' Convertible at that dealer's in NV. A 94' with 40K for $31K.

    Any thoughts?

Any and all input is greatly appreciated.

Hi, when I was looking for a 348, I went and seen this one it's a triple blue 95 348 spider, with 13k miles on it, it was on Craigslist in Portland, or, full history . It was to much for me, but noticed now the guy had come down, very clean impeccable , just done info, good luck

I know of several in, under and around $30K. But I'm holding my cards close to the vest for a couple more weeks when I finalize my choice :)

Check the VIN, cross reference the specific cars on here, or have someone check them out. The one in Texas, while I have not checked it out, know someone who did check it out. They said it hasn't been driven much in several years, but it fires right up and has a strong motor. It does need a major. Last one 2007? Don't quote me on that, since it is hearsay.

Pre-93 cars or 94+ doesn't matter much with these cars. Maybe if you are comparing the dual disk clutch vs. single disk in terms of costs to replace/rebuild, but that might be it. All of them seem to be great cars and easily worked on. Get the best you can afford, that is what will matter in the long term.

    Louis,
I've listed my 1990 348TS for sale in the 348/355 sale thread as well in the general Ferrari sale thread.

    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferraris/440797-sale-1990-348ts-red-tan-42-000-miles.html

Would be happy to discuss with you.

    Thx
    Doug

Lou, you've come to the right place! Welcome.

Take a little time to see if any established members are selling their cars (like Doug above). You may pay a little more upfront, but a lot of times buying from a forum member is a very good idea as many of these cars are "known" by others. Also, if you're here on a regular basis, you're probably an enthusiast who knows and does what needs to be done.

Just a tip. Worked out great for me! :)

BTW - mine is a pre '93 that had been updated regularly by the previous owner of 20 years. Other than a bad third brake light, in over three years I've had no big issues whatsoever outside of expected routine maintenance (clutch seals, major service, etc.). Just make sure the gearbox is in order. Don't worry about the dual disc clutch, either. I was initially, but if it's in good shape, it's damn stout.

    Good luck!
