Hi guys, I bought a iPod wire from Becker and the keys to take the deck out. I got the deck out and unplugged the cd changer wire in the radio and replaced it with the iPod wires. So far so good but the iPod wire did not work with my iPhone 5. I was frustrated so I took the iPod wire out and replaced it with the cd changer wire. The cd changer started working and while it was workin I unplugged the cd changer and put the iPod wire back on and it magically started working, sooooo happy , but once I put the deck back in its rightful spot, it still worked but I turned car off and came back 10 min later and once again when I hit the M button, it doesn't recognize the iPod, only recognizes that I have no tape in the cassette player, why? frustrated , been waiting excitedly to use my iPhone music. Anyone experienced this? Sometimes my deck doesn't recognize my cd changer and u gotta hit the M button twice or three times before it does. Any ideas guys? Thank u in advance

Can you post up some pictures of what you have in your 360?

I am reading that you have a tape deck/CD player and a cable that connects to your iPhone 5. I didn't know that you could have all these together from Ferrari. We can sort you out but need to establish your baseline setup.

My Car is an 01, my car has a cd changer in the hood and the deck itself is radio and if u hit a switch the face plate comes down and there is room to put a cassette in

There are other threads about iPod5 sometimes being a little difficult I think

Also have you definitely toggled the setting from cd changer to aux in the background ?

Check out the instructions here or at beckerautosound if not

Kevin - this appears to be the standard either/or setup ie cd changer or iPod using the same socket

you have to have a cd in the changer or else the head unit reverts back to either tape or radio.

..and with the adapter cable installed you will loose functionality of the CD player IIRC. Also every time you turn off the battery switch or unplug the radio you will have to set up the AUX again.

If it's like the Becker setup in my '02 360, the ipod cable replaced the cable to the CD changer in the luggage compartment, so that becomes inoperable, but the CD player in the unit still works but you need to push the 3rd upper button from the right, twice in rapid succession to switch between CD and AUX (ipod) mode. Once in AUX, push the same button once to switch between tuner and AUX. For the iphone 5, you will need an adapter to change from the 30 pin plug, to the new smaller plug.

The keys and the wire are often on Ebay - else ask beckerautosound - actually keys are usually with the owners manual - also note that not all wires charge too

I bought the keys and wire from beckerautosound.com, just google em, everything cost me 150 Canadian, make sure u ask for the instructions, I didn't get any, that's why I couldn't find how to change to Aux mode. I still haven't had a chance to do that but planning on trying tonight, thanks to the other posts I think I know what to do, I'll find out tonight lol
