About 6 weeks or so ago I sent an email off to Forza Magazine with a photo of my 575M and I, and thanked them for influencing the purchase of my car, as I was influenced by their February 2013 issue focusing on the 550/575M. Well, I just purchased the May 2014 issue and was surprised to find that they printed not only my email (edited) but the photo of my car and I as well!

Nice story Clyde - and one I can relate to!

My Ferrari love affair began in May of 1976 when Road & Track had a silver 512BBi on the cover. I couldn't take my eyes off of it and I remember my grandpa got me a subscription to R&T that same year.

Fast forward to 2014 and I have had that subscription for 37 years without interuption and I am now trying to buy my 8th Ferrari. Had a little detour with 36 Porsches along the way!!!

Thanks Rob, and you are a far luckier man than I if you are getting ready to buy your 8th Ferrari, congrats! :)

They didn't include the serial number? Or did you not include it in your letter?

I didn't include it in the email, was it necessary?

Hey tifosi, FORZA wouldn't care if you included it or not. As for Carby ............., he even knows the serial numbers of his dinner plates !!! :):)

    Cheers mates,

Congratulations! As someone who has every Forza issue since inception, you certainly are famous in my book. :)

I envy you that you have every Forza issue in existence because there are some out of print that I can no longer get (and Cavallino back issues are outrageously priced). In any case, thank you for the compliment but I really don't think the article means I'm famous at all, I'm just another guy who dreamed of owning a Ferrari his entire life and finally was able to purchased one. There are many out there like myself. I just wrote the email to Forza to thank then for their great article which influenced my purchase. Anyway, thanks again.

OK, I have to admit I cheated a little bit. :) I have been a subscriber for the last few years, but last year, I bought an entire complete collection from another FChat member.

I guess I should check the classified's on FChat then to see if others offer back issues from time to time. Good one!

I'm currently trying to find an entire Cavallino collection. Of course, that goes back a lot farther, and people value those a lot more...

Cavallino is a great magazine, I wish you luck in your search. Perhaps I should check out some of the used magazine shops here in downtown Toronto, I may make a surprise find?
