    I reckon you're close ;)

The one in the picture is a XJ-S Glenholme Special. Whether there's a difference between Glenholme and Glenfrome, I don't know.

That's it. One of my school friends Dad owned it when new, I spotted it in this rather sad state on eBay a few months ago

Not that great on old MG's but reading your profile and a bit of googling I would say an MG L2?

Glenfrome did two, the silver with butress and the green one without, both had about 8" added to the wheelbase and were genuine four seaters then.

The silver one appears lost but the green one is in store, still less than 60k miles and is a manual 3.6 with very nice interior, good mechanics and drives but big bodywork task.

it may well be saved, at moment in a secure store, drives well and starts ok,
60k miles since new, very clean inside but a touch ugly but original.
body work needs a lot of work plus the roof is an issue re how made and off what material until it stripped of it is guesswork.

thought you may like an update, it is a 3.6 manual, 1986 or so re original registration now fixed to car.

Unfortunately my school friend's Dad is no longer with us, I think he was the first owner though, and lived in Ashtead in Surrey. He was a Jaguar fan and also had a stock XJS at the same time.
