Ferrari are building specific items for Kimi's car to suit Kimi, I know that much.

Really? a certain character finds it necessary to bring it up in this thread and starts complaining about the complaining, before anyone has said anything that can be considered negative.

And then those who have the nerve to react negative on Formula 1 in it's current state (I could have sworn we were all free to give our opinions, negative or positive, but apparently in this part of F-chat that is not the case (wonder how Rob feels about that)) are tiresome? You guys are really out of it.

Having said that, Sepang usually doesn't offer great racing and with the cars being a bore to watch and the weather predicted to be very nice, I might just skip this one and do something more useful with my time.

Can't quite tell from that angle but they look like stirrups for the monkey seat.

Given the tiny size of those stirrups, you have to wonder how much of an impact they will have on performance. If Merc are going to these lengths to extract every last percentage point of downforce, are they already nearing the maximum potential of their aero package? (Doubt it, but just thought I'd pose the question).

Ferrari 2013 car had that issue, it was near its ceiling going into the season. I think MB just want to keep their 1 second advantage, so we will probably see multiple variations at every other event this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see the 'monkey stirrups' as David so properly calls them deleted in favor of the low beam wing which the Williams is cleverly running, or whatever else MB finds beneficial. Even if W05 is near its aero limit it's still 10 races ahead development-wise than the rest of the field.

Fair enough, I have no problem with folk airing their grievances on how they think the sport has taken a lot of wrong turns, but IMO it is too early in the season to make that judgment.

Besides it isn't going to change anything this year, other than that it seems it must be a deep need to complain.

For the record I'am not saying I like whatever is served up, but at least for now we still have something to watch.

End of the day if folk are not happy, nobody is holding a gun to their heads to watch it.
