The deluxe version with the extra radio conversations and commentary is really cool. I like the app a lot.

I've never used the app, but I have a question for those that have. Since I watch most of the races delayed on the DVR, can I use the app? Is there a way to "delay" the start of the app for when I decide to watch the race? If not, then the app is completely useless to me since I can only watch about 2 or three races per year live...

Yes indeed! Every session is available shortly after it's over as a download. You can then pause, rewind etc at will. It's even pretty easy to sync the two given they both display the all important timing clocks. (In fact, if you're really anal (;)) you should do that when watching 'live' as the tv is a little behind.)

I haven't checked, but suspect you can't grab the download without it 'spoiling' the results though - I could be wrong, just a heads up if that's important to you. (Obviously can't check that right now!;))

    Cheers,
    Ian

I enjoyed the app. As the tv coverage kept missing the race to go to commercial or show clips. I was able to keep up with the app. Commentary was good too. I hadn't realized how much of the race I miss watching it on tv.

Text or audio? I had Sky going, so never tried beyond the text commentary.

    Anyone get radio comms working?

    Cheers,
    Ian

The audio is Allan Mcnish mixed with the team radio banter which is pretty cool. And just that is worth the price of the app. Way way better than sky or BBC. Also watching the cars go around the track which you can rotate and zoom in on is cool as hell.

You can flip through news and history like a magazine and even chose your favorite team or driver so all the race updates are customized. The app is worth every penny of 11 bucks. Its very well done.

For those on Android, it's now available from Google Play.

    Which is nice. :)

I like the app. But can someone tell me what the colors mean? When the drivers name change colors? Also how to choose which driver you want to watch. As for their rpm, drs etc.
