What a beautiful job! Is that the original stitch-pattern on the steering wheel? It looks incredible!
These are the results from this thread... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328/433101-1980-gtbi-interior-project.html Looks great. 308's are one car where the interior holds up to the exterior.
I looked into having the originbal wheel re-covered but it was $400. I got a new one from Naardi, the same as the original, and it came with this stitching.
Jim400i, (Jim Bath ) a fellow F-chatter, originally had the seats done by an upholsterer in Denver. I traded my old seats plus cash for the ones that were already done. He had posted some photos of the work in progress and I was very impressed with the work shown. We met up and had his guy do the remainder of the leather for me. It really came out nice. If you decide to go this route let me know and I can share my learnings!
It's actually a hole where the radio should be. I removed mine and am looking for a proper replacement.
That's the theory. On the iPad at least it allows only one upload. Load a second and the first disappears. Been that way for quite a while.
If you want, you can blacken the steering wheel screws with some gun-blue. They will look real close to OEM. The rest looks as good as my new interior ...... AWESOME !!!!!
