    You're comparing apples and oranges.

Obviously the lighter and smaller car will feel, eh, lighter and nimbler. What were you expecting?

Does the Cali have acceptable seating for 4 adults? No. Does the FF have a drop top? No. Does the Cali have 4WD? No.

Mr. Lederman on this forum has both cars. He can probably add some insight.

I get it... However my point was directed at my assumption that Chris would want something more in the lines of a sports car, as in, look at his previous cars.

Maybe he wanted something different this time? Its not my favorite Ferrari either but there are those who really do enjoy it.

The Cali vs the FF is easily academic. Its the all wheel drive and the extra weight.

But could you feel the extra Horsies in the FF?

Also heard they maybe closing Loralis for test driving during Pebble in years to come. I know Porsche stopped just short of going up it when the test drives got real busy.

Of course you feel the extra power in the FF, it has 4 additional cylinders and 170/200 hp more. Not to mention the sound which is in a different league. Again, comparing these two is like comparing apples and orangaes. The powerplants are so different, as well as the concept of the cars.

I Could feel the extra power, but hitting the big and tighter sweeping corners, the Cali felt so much more planted, or responsive. But then I drove my 991s down to the event.

Did you drive a regular Cali or the 30? If it was the latter did it have the HS package?

I believe it was before either were available. But did drive the HS package Cali locally on an up and down winding road where I pushed it. I was thinking I was going to trade in my 991s for one. But came back from the test drive appreciating the Ferrari experience (have owned one of the first 458's) but appreciated more the nimbleness of the Porsche. I do have a deposit on the new T though, and am hoping..

The 991 is definitively a more capable car than the outgoing Cali. The 30 with the HS pack made things a lot better, but IMO still not on par with a C2S with PDCC in terms of driving dynamics.

Agreed, but thats not really why you go for the California.

You can definitely feel the extra power in the FF. I bet the extra torque in the California T will close most of the gap--- for now.
