Facetious? Heavens no! I'm Episcopalian or maybe something else...Agonistic or whatever it is. I did indeed catch your inference but I don't catch colds. Ya' never know what I'm going to come up with because I have a non-programmable mind that I believe is irreparably cross wired. That's how I survived 4 years as an air show clown and 48 years at Boeing. My wife does the finger going around while pointing the temple when she introduces me to someone. No problem, I smile back at their smiles and we get along just fine. And then they feed me ice-cream cones. No problem with that.

Thanks, Taz. I get comments that I'm not too far from that most of the time. Book. The manuscript is being reworked for what I hope is the last time. Then it goes to the editors for the second time and then to get configured and photos and artwork inserted. This is one awful batch of hard work that has gone from a fun thing to a huge chore. I'm going to self publish and I have a good and experienced local person on board so everything will be transparent and up front. I have had two missed approaches with big name publishers that were showing some predatory signs. So far, everybody likes all the tales even though I'm not a professional writer. It isn't about doing great things but just enjoying life and trying to taste a little bit of everything over a period of 85 years.

Bob, I think you'll at least be able to sell copies to everyone on AviatorChat! And I think we'll want them all autographed.

I don't know that permanent ink stuff. I just remember the indelible pencils that I used to see people lick before they signed anything. Is that okay? Signs of things past like the big fat red-orange fountain pens that leaked ink onto guys shirts when they put them in the front pocket even with the cap on. I'll bet that none of you have ever seen that stuff. I even remember guys tucking their shirt tails in and wearing their pants up to their waist instead of falling down around their butts.
I'm trying my best to get this book thing done by this summer and I will love to sign anything you want.
I have no visions of this being a big deal, I just want to have the fun of selling a fun story.

I think part of the reason for careful language is that in South Korea, the person responsible for an accident resulting in deaths can end up getting a death sentence, or at a minimum life in prison.

Don- That might wake them up. Nothing else seems to have done it. They killed three people and injured close to 200 through incompetence and following some ridiculous pecking order.

"A South Korean government committee ordered Asiana Airlines to suspend its services to San Francisco for 45 days as punishment for the fatal July 2013 accident at SFO.

On July 6, 2013, Asiana flight OZ214 crashed on landing at San Francisco Airport, California, resulting in the death of three passengers. The South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said in a statement that current law stipulates a 90-day flight suspension for airlines involved in a fatal accident like Asiana 214.

The law allows for a lesser suspension of up 50%. In view of the crew’s efforts to minimize the number of casualties, the ministry committee decided on a 45-day suspension. The airline has 15 days to appeal the decision.

According to Yonhap News Agency the airline said it will appeal the suspension. Asiana stated that authorities “did not consider the national interest and the appeals made by the CEO of International Air Transport Association and other airlines that fly into Incheon International Airport.”
