Brothers - check it out! I needed to repair or replace my boot (see "before" pic), and decided to gamble on this ebay seller because they had 100% positive feedback ... and because the gamble only cost me $400.

It has not yet faced the 100mph test, but so far I could not be more pleased. The fit, color, and stiching are all perfect. Caveat: you have to install the fasteners yourself (but its a no-brainer). No affiliation, but I would reccomend them to anyone.

How does the quality of the leather stack up?

Mine has a cut in it and I saw this this very one as an option.

Sure fits nice..... Love that color on your car ;)

It's very nice. The ebay ad says "Italian leather", and the look and feel are very comparable to stock. And that new leather smell fills the whole garage. It does embarrass the seats a little ... I'll try to clean them up a bit this weekend.

    Tom,
So you just need a leather punch and transfer the snaps? Easy enough. What sort of fabric do they use for the back side, and is it padded? I seriously considered buying one from them. Yours looks terrific.

My boot cover was looking a bit faded, and I ended up getting lucky and found a brand new oem one with the vinyl case for $700 or so on Ebay. Came in the original Ferrari plastic baggie.

BTW, if you want to prevent ripping your new cover; BEFORE you open the engine lid, release the snaps at the most rearward position, as well as the ones below the rear window. Most people don't do this. I was taught this by Roberto at Ferrari of Seattle when he sold me my 355. ;)

That looks like the outfit I got mine from. It's beautiful and smells great. They marked it with clear pen but I need to have the car back to test fit it and then punch the holes! 10 fasteners and might add a sewn button for the middle.

I met them while visiting my daughter in Huntington Beach last month. My son-in-law drove his 348 up to Pasadina to their shop. From what I saw, they do outstanding work. Sam is the master leathersmith and Anna takes care of the business. Fine people and great to work with. I ordered one and it should be here today. I'm going to have a local shop fit it to the car. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Mine has been fitted for a few weeks now. It's a little loose along the back edge at the engine cover between the snaps, but tight in the cockpit at the bottom behind the passenger seat and seatbelt velcro. I'm sure stretching and shrinking will improve over time but I wonder if there are slight differences with the dimensions on a 355 vs. 348. Leather and construction are fantastic and I did cheat a little when mounting the rear most snaps at the points. I didn't want to punch through the threads and seams so I offset them a bit, like Ive seen on most cars. It should still work when the seams settle down and the rearmost face adapts to the 90' fold, facing the rear, and shrinks. Should I stretch it and shrink it in the sun, with leather conditioner, water, saddle soap? Any tips? Here are some pics and a 355 from Montreal last weekend.

I also purchased a boot from Anna at Josephina for my '99 355. The quality of the boot and the standard of service that Anna offered was, to say the least, exemplary. The boot fit perfectly, and the quality of the leather was wonderful. Anna told me that the interior lining is the same as headliner, and it is both soft and very sturdy. Fitting was easy, it just required a few minutes with a leather punch, and the fasteners came with the boot.
They are a delight to deal with and at the top of my list for anything more associated with leather.
Anna told me that they offer headrest covers, embroidered with the Ferrari logo and the price was unbelievable. Maybe they are next on the list!

I was planning on buying the same boot until I saw these pics with all the stretching. I would also appreciate any insight as to why this would occur so quickly.
