That switch is not for electric windows, but rather electric mirror switch. The outer black ring rotates to switch between right or left door.
Interesting car. Interior door cards look very worn. Are replacements available? Other photos look pretty good. Black wheels can be refinished in silver. Any comments by the 308 GT4 afficiandos?
It looks like a good car. Not original but not saying it is. The bones, meat, guts and skin are all in good condition. The Norwood rebuild adds a lot of value. It shows a quality driver in good condition is worth it regardless of mileage. There are a couple items that need to be restored and a couple personal things I would change (door card, window switches dash imperfections but the info is freely given so I'd trust it). I do like the wheels and those are good tires. I don't like the red engine detail, but it's a good engine. I wonder if all smog parts and extra distributor are there. If I were in the market I'd wouldn't hesitate as long as I saw it in person first, but that is just my style!
Strong money! I hope that is representative of the market for my sake. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No don't be fooled these cars sell all day long for $20K ! Is yours back on the road yet? Status update?
It's been in the shop since December. They finally started on it a couple weeks ago and claim it's almost done. Electronic ignition, shift shaft seals, CV boots, plug wires, valve adjustment, timing belts, water pump, hoses, gaskets, AC, etc. basically going through what I couldn't do. Should be good to go for a long time! Can't wait to drive it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Is there a noticeable price difference between pre '76 cars, which can be run in California without getting them smog-checked every other year, and post-'76 cars? I'm thinking that $30k is the new norm for #-2 to #3 condition GT4's, and nice #1-#2 condition, pre'76 cars are in the mid $30's to touching $40k. Thoughts? Thanks!
The California market rightfully puts a premium on presmog cars and so is a bit of an anomaly. Other than that condition is king. I never try and figure out the market on these things. When I buy its a matter of what its worth to me.
#1 cars are like unicorns #2 cars people aren't selling them cause no one will pay for what they really are worth #3 cars are available #4 cars are plentiful shouldn't be bought except by car breakers There are very few GT4's that don't need a crap load of work.
Well put. However it seems we have some recent purchases / new owners here who are working to get their cars sorted out.
Mine should be sorted in a week or two and I'll post new photos! Teaser: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Boy, here is a "unicorn", and priced accordingly! Ferrari 308 GT4: Modena Motorsport I inquired as to their asking price...80,000 Euro's! :-0 Very pretty, though...even with the wrong wheels.
