Finally some good news.......best wishes to he and his family...
+1 As he notes, he remains 'an outsider', but Sabine is 'the consummate professional', so parsing her words carefully leads him to believe this is *really* positive! For now at least, can we leave the 'long way to go' downers out - We all know that. Awesome, fantastic news. Godspeed Michael Ian
Hoping so much for his full and speedy recovery. Great news! Prayers continue with Michael and his family.
Agreed, I'm much more encouraged by Dr. Hartstein's analysis of this announcement, it is fantastic news!!!
When DC wrote this article 3 days after the accident I thought he was being premature in thinking the situation was so grave ... I appreciated his sentiment especially as he was 'the enemy' back in the day. But how prophetic he turned out to be in terms of the seriousness of the injury. Also, his piece quoted in this thread in late March (the 25th I think) was heartfelt and genuine. Hopefully Michael will now be able to read these articles one day and have a Bacardi and coke with DC to reminisce. Forza, Michael.
CBS World News (in the US) also reporting tonight that MS is possibly "having moments of consciousness" as per the press release. So, looks to be very well confirmed as to factual. And, certainly it is a bit of a positive sign ---- though I would like to hear it confirmed from his Doctors along with some more detail.
Great to hear this, and also to get the statement that it's a private family matter, and that no news is not due to no improvement, but due to they would do what I would if it were a family member, worry about the patient versus feel the need to update the public with every detail. So great to hear of some improvement. GOOD LUCK SCHUMI!
I didn't see this article posted in this thread before, but then, this has been a busy thread! Personal experience of a very similar situation from Robin Warner: I know what Michael Schumacher is going through - A message of hope from one brain injury survivor to another
